- TNTeadybearsRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I originally picked this book up a few months ago and got stuck on the third chapter for some reason, but I picked it back up today and just couldn’t stop reading. The hybrid between meticulous scientific magic and random magical magic was a really nice trope that I hope to see copied in other books that I read in the future. Overall really good and I’m excited to see the third boom come out.
- SoulFireMageRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Another slice of life style tale with low to moderate stakes I've enjoyed.
The story only makes one major fumble, in book four but it doesn't detract from the heart of the story enough to downgrade however.
He buggers up the romance aspect by making it too quick and shallow to fit the story. IMHO. But as this comes late it doesn't matter a lot. - Ash10kRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I dont normally review books, but this one was very good. Its a reincarnated as a baby in a magic world, and it is very well written. The System is one that has slow growth, buy the author still makes it interesting and fast paced.
Its also a different take on Litrpg in general, which is nice.
Grammar is excellent.
MC is very solitary, but still feels very human and not at all sychotic like lone MC tend to.
Highly recommended - Bruce cRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Kind of similar to Singer Sailor Merchant Mage, the MC is reincarnated as a child with a scientific drive to understand the underlying mechanics of his new world. He is also fairly introverted with only one sometimes friend. He actually applies his methodology continuously and achieves decent success.
A few concerns such as an unexplainable drive to get stronger and to learn a wide range of things. There is no trauma orapproaching disaster (that we know) that requires such excessive dedication.
Also, he hides his growth despite having a mother who is literally a magic researcher with access to a higher learning facility and a father who is the highest level? in town.

Books 2-4 show expected (and exceeded) growth as a trader/businessman, warrior, mage, and most importantly person as he transforms each area he touches. A well thought out progression of each phase. - Continuity ManRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The power creep is always a wrinkle for progression stories but I think the author did a good job of keeping the MC modest will simultaneously giving him the edge he should have.
My only complaint was the abrupt ending, it felt like it was leading into a sequel that never came.
Well written, with a hyper focus on the MC and not as much the supporting cast. The taming aspect was very enjoyable as well.
Its worth a read - unclemonkeyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Love the overall story and pacing and man if the character growth isn’t fun and some nice unexpected plot twists…. Overall it’s a well built world and some great story to go with it
the chapters are well paced and a nice length and as with all cliff hangers that are well placed keeping you coming back for more.. - Justin MarksRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really liking the MC. Not too overpowered and seems to be making wise choices. Love the companions and the friend he is making. It's super well edited and well thought out. All the characters feel real and act like you think they would. Looking forward to reading book two as it's released.
- MyPinkGuitarRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Ok! So this is the 1st review I'm doing from my phone. I usually read from my phone and forget to log in to properly review stories, but this story deserves some attention!
1st off, I only didnt give a perfect 100% because as I binge read this I feel like I hit 1 or 2 slow spots, BUT that could be because I took the 1st 30 chapters all in one go. These are deacent well written chapters people. This isnt you're usual bag of chips story you can take in one sitting. It's an entire meal, and the 1st two courses were well written. I'm actually kinda envious of this authors voice. If I wasnt me, I'd want to write like them. I'll be taking notes.
Anyway, the pace is a lazy slow build story, but what can you do when you write a kid growing up as, well, a kid? This author has the solution, world building! The thought put into the world is phenomenal. I really felt the change from you're seaside village to exotic jungle. And what separates them.
The MC is a bit dry, but im sure that's intended. Most scholars are. Being analytical is hard to write with fantasy, but this author adds a bit of realism into this by suplimenting the MC with real world knowledge that they use to figure out the new world they are exploring. (Personally I want to know who the MC was in their past life for them to be so well learned. I mean I know its basic knowledge you're writing about, but some of us failed classes, So I can only assume the MC was actually somebody well learned.)
As for the other characters. Yes, they are a bit absent, but the little interactions really differentiate them from one another. The mom is a diffrent personality to the shop woman. The dad has a different personality from the other male characters, and so on. I can see the lack of character interaction as a problem later, but for now it's not necessary. Infact, I deplore stories that force the "social" aspect of stories...most of the time. There were a couple stories that are in this same genre I know do great socializing - SpaceCadetRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I really enjoyed book 1. Follows the adventures of a man reincarated in a world of magic as a baby ->boy. He discovers how the 'system' works and develops his skills.
Something that could make it better is more dialogue. Our main cahracter rarely talks to other people, and when he does it is basically buy/sell/teach.
His parents never seem to ask what he did that day. He does eventually get a friend, and they are starting to talk, a bit...
One mystery that hasnt been mentioned but not solved is how his father got so powerful, that might be covered in book 2. So the 'system' still has some secrets. - Halowolf2009Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5The books are all really great it gets a bit slow later on and it starts to feel like there’s no challenges for Philus
after the war it starts to feel like just a kingdom builder or slice of life and there wasn’t much action after book 2 I don’t know if that was intentional or not
but all and all the first two books had me super engaged and I found myself having a engaged read even when the action was lacking the taming was super well done
