Chu Xiang accidentally becomes an instance player, stepping into eerie and perilous worlds of supernatural tales: an endless, sinister film playing in the midnight cinema; a chilling smirk from her mirrored self in an abandoned school; whispers and footsteps mingling in the dread of a late-night mansion...

The game’s rules are merciless, but the most maddening and unpredictable element lies in the so-called "blind boxes" given as rewards. These blind boxes contain random items ranging from an unremarkable little alarm clock to a magical crayon capable of drawing virtual roads. Each item comes with unique skills—some life-saving, others deadly. While some scoff at their randomness and others complain about their bad luck, Chu Xiang consistently uses these unpredictable tools to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks.

As the layers of the instances unravel, Chu Xiang gradually realizes she is not the only player, and lurking behind the game is a far greater conspiracy. Every reward, every rule, and even the blind boxes' randomness may be part of a grand chessboard orchestrated by an unknown entity.
