Wizards' Reign

In the near future, a number of people have awakened powerful magical abilities. These people call themselves Wizards, and they used their new powers with reckless abandon, killing most of humanity and leaving the planet utterly unrecognizable. For those who survived, life is largely miserable under their new Wizard overlords. In desperate times like these, people call out for a hero to save them…

...and in return, a hero arises in the form of a mysterious young boy with the power to slay Wizards. Armed with his trusty sword and a steadfast belief in his righteous cause, the boy must travel the wastelands of this new world, gathering allies, defeating evil, and eventually bringing peace and order back to humanity.

I’m a main character too! Shouldn’t you mention that here?

Fine. The boy is also joined by a random man who is completely ordinary and not very interesting at all. Forsomereason this man has been tasked with narrating the boy’s adventure even though heclearlydoes not have the talent to do so.

I mean, I think I’m pretty interesting...I used to be a soldier, you know? That’s pretty cool! And now I’m kicking Wizard ass for real!

Whatever. I should’ve know better than to try and spruce up your pedestrian storytelling here. Why don’tyoufinish this off if you’re so confident in yourself?

Oh yeah! Uh, this guy kinda summarized everything important earlier...truth be told, I’m not sure if we’re gonna be able to save the world or whatever. But this kid is really powerful and he’s got a good heart, so I’m gonna help out him either way. I get the feeling that if I believe in him, we’ll be able to make the world a better place.

And even if we don’t—hey, at least it’llmake for a good story.
