Description

Darth Vader dies in the arms of his son, having killed his master and gone back to the light side of the Force.

And then he wakes up, finding himself into a little primitive planet that hasn't even achieved interstellar travel, where the government is corrupt and the heroes are ineffective, in a city that could almost be called a hive of scum and villainy, dominated by a gang that calls itself the Empire 88 and another that practices slavery.

He wants to be better, he wants to overcome his past, but really, the city isn't making it easy for him.

Sometimes, a former Sith Lord just wants to force choke someone.

This story is incredible. It doesn't require having read Worm though that story is well worth reading itself.
I went into this story curious to read about what a newly redeemed Darth Vader would be like and got so much more, mainly in a truly excellent master-apprentice relationship with the Worm character Dinah Alcott. For Anikan, Dinah represents a chance to do better than the teachings of the Jedi, who he still believes failed him, and the Sith, whose selfishness he knows can only bring more pain.
Dinah is excellently written, diverging naturally from her character in Worm under Anakin's influence. As Anikan grows to care for the girl, we get to see what a full-powered Darth Vader can and will do to protect those he cares for... and it's epic.
Anikan is so far in the story very overpowered compared to both the heroes and villains of Brokton Bay, but it's a well-used overpowered. We get thrilling and often bloody fights where Anikan is certainly struggling, but not so much with winning, but rather winning without losing himself to the Dark and killing everyone.
Having Anikan's primary focus being on protecting and training Dinah, while trying to recover from the influence of the Dark, means fighting is often a hindrance to his goals and not a means to achieve them. It's honestly the most compelling dynamic I've ever seen for an overpowered protagonist in a story.
I'll mention that spelling and grammar aren't perfect, with mistakes being noticeable, albeit both minor and infrequent. It's not an advanced review, but you could probably consider grammar a 4/5 or 4.5/5 with a bit of generosity, a noticeable step up from the author's Supergirl fanfic, which is 3 or 3.5/5.

Really enjoyed the cross between Worm and Star Wars. It's been hard to find stand alone fan-first for either, but ready this crossover has been a treat. Hope to see Anakin square off against an Endbringer and interact with Skitter. Also reminds me that I really need to read the second part of Parahumans.

As I wait for the next chapter, I realized I could write a review.
Here's my review: Great FanFiction, Great Story. Time to refresh the page again like I do everyday to see if a new chapter has come out. That is the highest level of praise I can give. I refresh the page every day just in case a chapter came out and I didn't get a notification.

This has quickly become one of my favorite stories.
While I am not a fan of the newer star wars trilogies, I have always been a fan of anakin / darth vader, and the way he has been portrayed. Mix that in with a healthy love for the world of worm, and this fiction was set from the get go.
The portrayal of all characters within this story feel absolutely true to their source material and this feels like a great addition to both stories.
Every worm character reads like how they would act, and Anakin reads like how a reformed-ish darth vader would act.
The way the powers / supernatural forces mix is well done. With the force being a wrench (or a nuke) thrown in the world of worm.
Highly recommended, I just NEED MORE. The cliff hanger I ended on was awful though. I keep refreshing.

This story so far in a good and interesting one.  Anakin Skywalker has died saving Luke, now Anakin will get a chance in another world to make up for his mistakes.
Mistakes like his killing the younglings, letting the corrupt government around him push him to the dark side, and lastly being a tool for an ungrateful master.
Anakin will have to find himself and center himself in the force.  He will not be alone as a young girl will help him and be helped in turn.
This plot is fast moving and with good reasons, as the new world is a place where people with mysterious superpowers control sections of this mysterious city.
When Anakin takes in a girl being hunted by mercenaries he shows his true power.  This does not end well for the mercenaries.  As Anakin comes into contact to other groups he struggles with the urge to destroy them as his past as Lord Vader does not take threats well.
This is an early review but is quite a fun story this early.  I recommend giving it a try.

To be honest, my knowledge of the Worm universe is rather limited. I won't judge the fidelity of that part.
It is enjoyable enough, regardless. The only negative so far is the sparse frequency of updates. I am grateful for what has been written already. The story begins with the death of the defeated Dart Vader and his awakening in a primitive hospital. He is restored both in mind and body by a benevolent superhero with healing powers. Anakin's new persona is a fascinating mixture of Darth Vader, Anakin, and Obi Wan sprinkled with Kreya/Darth Traya. He paves his own way in the Force while avoiding both Jedi and Sith shortcomings. Strolling through the city, Anakin saves a young girl from kidnapping. He takes care of her and slowly accepts the responsibility of a master for his budding apprentice. Their relationship reminds me of Bane and Zannah. In this case, the Sith rule of two is replaced by a heartwarming side shining through. Anakin is a master with unique experience, able to consolidate the best of both worlds for the benefit of his new apprentice. To say that the Worm part of the crossover is rather puzzled by the emeritus Sith Lord is rather an understatement. The rather colorful and flamboyant parahumans of the Worm universe are no match for Anakin, who shows an unusual restraint in dealing with them. The gloves come off only if his new charge is endangered. Then his opponents get a dose of limited Darth Vader experience with rather terrifying effects. Well, it has been an enjoyable ride, and I wish the very best luck and health to the author and enough resiliency to write more chapters of this novel.

I like this story a lot. Anakin in Worm is a refreshingly new idea, and his battle with his inner Darth Vader continues to be interesting. Dinah is adorable and endearing. I have enjoyed her growth and her struggles with confidence.
This would be a 5 star story for me, but some decisions the writer has made recently about Anakin's unwillingness to kill grates at me a bit. I know he is trying to leave the dark side behind and grow his inner light, but the force has never been against killing. Hell, most of the greatest jedi of all time could be considered mass murders and occasionally commit genocide. The core of the reason this bothers me is because it feels like he is beginning to conform to Worm's stupid no killing rules.
Him not killing any of the Empires capes felt weird, and too far outside of character.
Overall, I think this story has been really great, and is definitely worth a read. As this fic develops further, it is likely I will up it to a 5/5.
EDIT: I felt like taking a star away because of my personal bias was unfair. I’m giving it back

The characters are very compelling in this story, especially Anakin. The POV switches are very well done, and add depth and perspective to the story. Anakin trying to redeem himself, and the struggles that entails in a world that just won’t stop jabbing at his self control, along with his new Padawan. The wording of the characters speech is sometimes a tiny bit clunky, but this is rare and is doesn’t make the story less compelling. I strongly recommend you read this one, it doesn’t require any knowledge from Star Wars, and not much from worm

Pretty good as far as worm crossovers go. Writing is excellent aside from the odd grammar and spelling issue. Fight scenes are some of the best I've read, done extremely well.
Not going to lie I do enjoy OP on occasion and this delivers.
It's an OC story, so we are not looking at it from Taylor's perspective, which is a nice change once in a while. Also, Dinah is kawaii. 10/ 10. I don't know why but I just picture her like a hamster with puffed out cheeks.
Plot/pacing good so far.  Only real issue so far is the initial attempt to grab Dinah made no sense, coil would have abandoned that time line instead of losing his mercs.
Definitely recommend so far. Worth reading!.

First, you don't need to know anything about either Worm or Star Wars to fully understand this story. The author has put a lot of effort in crafting the worldbuilding to the point it does not seem (or need) the Fan Fiction tag at all.
It is truly well written, the style makes the story flow and you will find that pages and chapters just disappear as you go! Very good quality there. The grammar is also very good (although I do not pay too much attention once it reaches an acceptable level).
The characters shine, truly shine in this story. The MC has a deep inner world, lots going on there as the story progresses, and so does the supporting cast. The few chapters with different POV are amazing due to the author's style in regards to character crafting.
The story itself is very interesting so far, lots going on and the myriad of clashing moves prepared by rivals and the supporting cast are interesting, plausible and easy to understand. The fights are also easy to follow and dynamic, the author is really good with those actually. The beginning could be improved a little bit more (the author already fixed some glaring mistakes in the first chapter or two) to make the premise more believable (If you don't know who Vader is, it's actually much better).
