- EiferRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I wish there was some more world building and background for the MC, but with the way the story is going, there's a good chance that will happen as it expands.
It's been a while since I've been genuinely invested in a character and seen actual growth, here on RR, specially when it comes to stories where the MC is so steeped in a religious dogma that is "good" and "just" to the select few.
While there are moments of good, this isn't a happy story by a longshot. It's harsh and real. It's a story about a warrior, a paladin, who have been steeped in religious indoctrination her whole life, fought enemies on those beliefs, and finally seeing beyon the veil to what is below the lies.
Having bought the book and finished it, I'm looking forward to a book 2 in the future. - PervySageChuckRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This one will grab your attention right off the bat. Look forward to another highly entertaining story by Mr. Butler as I have not read anything by him that was not addictively enjoyable. You won't regret reading this tale and if we are lucky, this will turn out to be another saga-length story that will go on for a nice, long time.
- BachsRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0I made this acc just to say, I want to see this how you advance the theme of self-sacrifice and zealotry. Also is world a cynical one or hopeful, or a balance in between, its hard to tell as of Volume 1. And what is the boss of that old man, is he head god of a pantheon?
