What Rules in the Dark

Charlie is an ordinary person living in the city working at a burger place with his best friend. The world that Charlie lives in is controlled by the council of overseers, who decide and designate what job each person will do for the rest of their lives, as well as things like where they are able to live. While things are stable this world is not perfect, and lately there has been a rising number of missing persons. Even with these dangerous times on the rise, Charlie can't help but to be excited when he receives a mysterious letter inviting him to participate in re-designation, and finally has a shot at his dreams. He comes to learn, though, that things are not what they seem in the world and that sometimes a regular life isn't so bad. One thing is for certain though, this invitation will change Charlie's life forever.
