Description

A tragedy of communication, a comedy of errors. Two simple people caught in a simple conversation, trapped in a loop of misunderstandings, where the words mean nothing, and nothing means everything.

Read the new tragic-comedy short story by Experience Feelings about what it means to speak, and where meaning extends beyond mere words.

Some people might really like this, if they're okay with not understanding everything. I'll give it four and a half for what it is. It's a story that revolves around an idea more than anything else. It feels more like a thought experiment than a story. But it's not trying to be an epic fantasy novel or space opera. I think for an experimental piece of flash fiction it's great. Do I think everyone will like this? No. But hey, it is doing something unique.
It's nice to see writers take risks and let their work feel a little weird. I noticed another reviewer complaining that the story wasn't tagged correctly. I do think that's a problem. But personally that feels like a kind of strange reason to rate something so low.
If you want to feel a bunch of very strange and perplexing emotions, give it a try. It's super short. If you want high fantasy in a grim dark world, you may want to look elsewhere.

The first chapter is a rehash of the well-known philosophical problem, the 2nd chapter is basically a running on of the same thing. This is not a loop of misunderstanding, this is not grimdark, it is not anti-hero lead, and it is not a tragedy. These tags do not apply.
