This is a stand alone story, you don't need to read Carnival to enjoy this one and likewise you won't need to read this to understand the characters when they appear in Carnival later on.

- SmileofskiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0With every turn of the page, I am drawn deeper into its world, captivated by its intricate storyline, well-crafted character arcs, and infectious humor. This tale is not just a mere story; it's a journey through the heart of my community, weaving together the threads of familiarity with the unexpected to create a tapestry of unparalleled excitement.
One of the most remarkable aspects of this narrative is its exceptional character development. Each protagonist is not just a figure on the page but a reflection of the people I pass by every day. Their struggles and triumphs resonate deeply with my own experiences, forging an instant connection that keeps me invested in their journey. It's a testament to the author's skill that I find myself rooting for them with an intensity that borders on personal investment.
The pacing of three chapters a week is a welcome treat, ensuring that the momentum never falters and the suspense remains palpable. With each installment, the atmosphere crackles with tension, promising an exhilarating ride that leaves me on the edge of my seat, eagerly awaiting the next twist and turn.
In conclusion, Weretiger is more than just a story; it's a testament to the power of storytelling to transport readers to familiar yet fantastical realms. With its seamless blend of humor, tension, and local charm, this narrative is undoubtedly a gem in the making. I eagerly anticipate each new chapter, eager to see where this enthralling journey will take its characters next. Keep up the outstanding work, for Weretiger has firmly secured its place as a beloved fixture in myliterary landscape. - Hadeez21Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Really fits my cup of tea. A bit shaky at the start but got so much better immediately. I dont wanna spoil it but even if its shaky the plot already got me hooked! I love the weretiger system transformation, first time reading a 'were' anything mc given by the system. Its permanent too which i think is really cool! I used to read a chinese webnovel that i liked with a tiger mc that got dropped in translation and its awesome that im reading another tiger mc again. Well not a tiger but close enough. Looking forward to how the story plays out and this system might be my inspiration for my own stuff.
- keeganashleyliveRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0…So, I have to admit, I was ready for a normal story intro, not to be strapped down to a roller coaster, dragged up a hill and let loose, full-steam, on the tracks! This story is wild (and a little goofy – it’s definitely got a very palpable humor side), right from the start which is something I immediately loved. Dad turned into a weretiger? Mom shooting at him? Kids with individual, distinct personalities, arguing about whether it’s Dad or not? Mystery system introduced randomly into a modern world?
Check, check, check, check, check. It’s got all that.
Plus wittiness.
Plus, a flowing, easy-to-read writing style. I mean, what more could you ask for in a story or book? There were no grammatical errors that I spotted that kept me from enjoying the story. It was just pure, good, fun action. I have a feeling this system and the ‘why’ for the system randomly popping up will occupy a good part of the plot the further on I read, but I have to say that this is a fabulous, rocking start. Way to go, author! I’m going to ‘follow’ and ‘favorite’. Anybody who wants a darn good read, should do the same. :) - Ghostie_BooRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0First, let me just say that this story was surprisingly easy to read. I've come to expect awkward dialogue and stilted sentences as part of the course when it comes to RR webnovels, but this has been a smooth read so far.
Owain is the MC and weretiger of the story, he's a good family man with a big appetite and a snugly personality. I liked the interactions with his family, it felt cozy. There's a light heartedness to the story so far, even though grime things are happening. It's at times funny, with some old movie references sprinkled in.
I've enjoyed the read so far, and look forward to seeing what comes next. - prissiRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This started as one of the better LitRPG stories. The characters are fully fleshed out and relatable. The grammar is as expected from a native speaker and the style is very readable.
The setting, an isolated house in Wales of a wealthy but apparently not too successful painter and his family, is a great place to start the story. The initial chapters build up the characters, and the story to the first fight develops well.
Even the first fight follows this. The first victim from the family, ok, it even raises the stake. But then it descents into a slaughter of human and intelligent aliens which is hard to stomach.
It get a little brighter towards the end but overall quite violent. I read it to then end for the colourful cast and interesting if depressing world. - Mike71414Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5A fun story about a regular guy who gets turned into a tiger-beast with a System!
Style: The style is good and reads quite easily I felt; there's no weird hiccups or anything that would detract from the reading experience, and the dialogue and everything feels natural/normal to me.
Grammar: I didn't notice any grammatical errors. This can be a big thing on Royal Road, so it's a pleasant surprise not to have any glaring issues when it comes to typos, grammar, spelling, etc.
Story: This is where the story shines! It won't be for everyone just because it's not as popular a trope as some stories on this site perhaps, but it seems like everything will be explored in detail, and the plot is approached in a methodical way that will be sure to satisfy readers who enjoy a story that paces itself. That being said, it does start with plenty of action!
Characters: I really like the main character, and it seems like plenty of attention will be paid to his family as well! He's quite a normal person it seems like, which is honestly refreshing for isekai/reincarnation/System type stories.
Overall it's a very exciting story at the beginning and I look forward to see where it goes! - cosmic_lonewolfRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5The prose was flowing, and the world-building is fantastic and the concept splendid.
I love the interactions between the characters, which are realistic and well thought out. The hints of humor are well placed and make this story very enjoyable.
If I had to explain this story in one line, it would be:
General litrpg premise and system, but its hook is a family dealing with their new-found powers and their father, who has become a tiger.
Overall, the system is well thought out and easy to grasp.
The pacing picks up after chapter 6 when the first wave hits. - Carpet RiderRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0"I'm excited to say that I've completed reading up to chapter three and I'm eagerly looking forward to diving into the rest of the book! The story is absolutely captivating, and it's filled with an array of powerful emotions that kept me engrossed with every chapter. While reading chapter one, I did feel a tad perplexed, but I soon realized that it was because of the difference in cultural language rather than any grammatical errors. However, I did notice a few small typos that need to be addressed. Would it be possible for you to proofread the text and correct it for me?"
