Welcome to the Judiciar's Pit

Long time ago, the judged for death in the imperial valley were simply lowered into a large pit to die of thirst and join the corpses below. Decades passed, and more clever souls traded deaths of theirs and fellow convicts in ever evolving, often literally breathtaking ways, for food, comfort and a few extra days to live. Nowadays, it is a sprawling, large enterprise. Once its involuntary employee, you are but a cog in a machine: dead yet walking.
