Description
It isn’t often that you receive an apology from a god, but for Grayson Walker, it happened twice in a single day. When a twist of fate leaves Grayson stranded on a new world, he is given the task to save it or die trying. With no other options, Grayson takes on the quest, but soon learns that things aren’t as simple as they first appear. Success will be far more difficult and dangerous than he had ever imagined.

- FlicsmoRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall, I've been really enjoying this novel. At the time of writing the introductory arc only just finished, but it's clear a lot of talent and care have gone into it so I'm excited to see where it goes.
So far the plot has been more or less pretty standard isekai stuff, though there has been some good setup for more interesting developments as things progress. What is there now is executed very well though, with a well-balanced mix of action, plot, character development and exposition/setup. It's paced nicely, and keeps your attention.
The setting is what really serves to set this novel apart. It's unique and fun, and feels crafted intentionally with focus, as opposed to the multitudes of blank slate generic fantasy worlds you find in other novels of the genre. The overall vibe is easy to pick up intuitively yet is filled in with lots of little details that help bring the world to life. I'm particularly looking forward to seeing this aspect developed further.
The only problems so far have been pretty minor. The pacing of some individual scenes feels a little off, with a lot of time given to unnecessary details while more important things are brushed passed. This gives it a rough draft feel, though if you're on RR chances are you don't mind looking past that - which isn't difficult here. The timeline of events so far also feels a little wonky, which distracted me a few times;
For example, the training Grayson receives is mentioned as saving his skin on a couple occasions afterward (by helping him keep from stumbling), but it pushes one's suspension of disbelief for any appreciable affect on muscle memory to come from a couple days of training. It would have both felt more natural and had more impact to have the 'remember your training' moments be where he thinks to use some particular strategy or move he learned.
All things considered, I'd definitely recommend this novel. I would say read at least the first half dozen or so chapters as it quickly bccomes more enga - skeptruneRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Overall: The story has a great premise and some unique qualities. However, it's a bit slow, the style is verbose in places, and the characters feel somewhat dull. I'd still reccomend giving this a read if you're looking! Just skip to around chapter 18 if it starts to feel too slow or sloggy as you're getting started with the early chapters.
Style: It's pretty standard. My only complaint is that the author can be a bit verbose. I think that a lot of sections of the story thus far could be made more concise. Other than that, I don't have any gripes, but I also don't have anything to really rave about. I expect that as the the story confines, the author's style will continue to evolve.
Story: Similar to style, it's good but not especially amazing. There are some creative elements applied that give it a nice uniqueness. My major gripe is just that it's slow and the progression feels too sporadic. I'd like more detail on the training and more correlation between training and improvement.
Character: The characters all seem bland to me. It's difficult to identify any unique personalities. The MC isn't a gary stu or annoying at all, and neither are any of the other characters. However, they're just a bit dull. Again, that may start to change as the author continues developing the story and their style.
Grammar: Pretty much flawless. I didn't notice any issues.
