Read the first book here(please consider supporting the story or writing a review, that would help me a lot).

Blake Olson was an archaeologist who died under mysterious circumstances and was taken to Valhalla by a gorgeous Valkyrie.

But there's no time to drink and feast, as Loki has broken free from his ancient prison and Ragnarok is about to begin!

Now, Blake will have to adapt to the brutal culture he studied, build a home, and level up to survive the Twilight of the Gods.

---

What to expect:

-Slow burn romance (ftb, not explicit)

-High stakes.

-References to history and mythology, Norse culture (not 100% accurate, but lots of geeky references).

-Brutal violence, torture, some gore.

-The Norse can be mean sometimes, but the mood between the MC and his lovers is supportive.

-Some negative elements that were part of ancient history, such as slavery, etc.

Harem stories are a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine and some of them are great.
Quite alot of them though, feel like mass produced stories with little depth all for a quick turnover.
At this point this story balances in limbo for me. The litrpg aspects of this story feels completely unnecessary. They have barely any space in the story and is just a minor sidenote where he has gained levels. Nothing about skills, experience or how the system functions. There are alot of interesting details and gimmicks one can use in a story with litrpg. But underutilized as it is atm, you would be better off scrapping it and add in the blessings from the valkyries without the rpg aspects.
I also think the story could use a tiny bit more depth to the characters. Have a hard time putting my finger on exactly why, but it doesnt feel like a full score just yet. Perhaps this may change as the story develops. Personally the main character being a "body builder" (the impression i got, purely training for the looks) strikes me as quite odd. I think it would have been better to lean in a bit heavier into martial arts and flesh out a backstory.
With all that said, this is just my specific opinion and i can tend to nitpick things.
If you like harem stories i recommend you give this one a chance.

Interesting premise, I often enjoy stories with Norse mythology.
Characters are alright, a bit shallow and there are some abrupt transitions in mood, but that's par for the course in this genre. This could change as the story progresses, a bit more backstory might help.
Pacing is decent though the characters do feel a bit railroaded/quick to go along with what the plot requires. The time aspect is jarring - 3 months of jiu-jitsu and the MC knows it well enough to teach warriors? Again something frequent in the genre.
The LitRPG aspects are shoehorned in - a few mentions of leveling up and having skills, but no time is spent on what levels, skills, or the system are. This aspect is frankly unnecessary and dropping it would make the story flow better.
My biggest gripe is the grammar.
There are frequent duplicated sentence fragments, pronouns are often swapped (eg a character such as Odin is referred to as male in one sentence and female in the next), and some paragraphs/sequences are slightly out of order.
I suspect this story leans heavily on AI, these types of issues are things I've often seen from Chat-GPT, NovelAI, and other large language models.

The premise was interesting in theory: human summoned in Valhalla, has to find his way among the Einherjahr and Aesir, while Ragnarok is about to pop off.
In practice it reads half soap opera/half cringe power fantasy: nerdy Chosen One(but with a bodybuilder physique) alternatively treated like a doormat and the inventor of hot water. After doing a year of jiu-jitsu(some unmentioned time ago) he's able to surprise veteran fighters who have been fighting daily, for fun, for hundreds of years....
Progression is mostly glossed over and the litrpg is very lightly explored. As for the harem aspect it's done even more poorly than usually: the MC acts like a virgin NEET who hasn't seen a women up close in his life(especially in the beginning) but fortunately, he has that plot rizz that gets all the girls coming to the yard. He of course then waffles back and forth between love interests. And if the soap opera/highschool drama vibe was too subtle for you, valkyries are basically tittering when they see him. Yeah...Don't know what to add to that.
I could talk more about the lack of depth of most characters but I think it's more than enough so far.
TLDR: Interesting concept, very poorly executed.
