Description
New England, 2089. Camille, a martial artist, goes about her daily life when she suddenly acquires a unique 'manifestation'. An ability that grants her a game-like body and interface to go along with it.
Around the same time, a series of murders transpires in her town of 'Kingsville', unsettling the quiet, tranquil life she was so used to. Soon enough, Camille finds her life thrown upside down and thrust into a new world entirely. Chock full of mages, demons, and other supernatural apparitions.

- M.J. MarkgrafRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0The first chapter starts off a bit confusing, but after chatting with the author, I understand what they were going for and it makes much more sense after reading a few chapters in.
The MC is a bit morose and a loner which makes them a bit unlikable in the beginning. But they didn’t go full murder hobo for the first ten chapters so that instantly makes them more interesting than 90% of LITRPG's main characters. Even the MC’s edgelord behavior is subdued once they meet up with a friend, the interactions between the two feel natural and make the MC feel more human.
Overall the writing is good. A bit more thought-provoking than most stories on RR, not that that’s a bad thing, it's just different. I think the Author’s strong point is on capturing the feelings in a scene.
I found the setting to be interesting and I don’t think I have come across a story with a similar setting before. I’m curious to see where the author takes it as there is a lot of potential with the history involved.
Grammar and sentence structure are good. I didn't see anything that stuck out as weird or out of place.
Overall I think it is a good story after it gets past a few early stumbling blocks. It’s not your typical LITRPG, so it isn’t going to appeal to everyone but that’s fine. The Author should continue to write what they want to write.
