- Father GrimRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Reviewing early to help an aspiring writer out a bit. I'm also a veteran War Thunder player which is what drew me in and enabled me to understand what actually happened here. Let's get started.
The Good
Isekai as a tank summoner (with aircraft and ships probably added later on) What's not to love? The premisse of steamrolling magical creatures with modern weaponry isn't a new one, but it's still fun. It's grounded in some reality, as this fic is heavy with statistics (including maximum ammo capacity) all of which are correct. Plus, you can look up how the vehicles look.
I don't know much about the characters yet, but I'm mentioning this as something positive because the author elected to crew his vehicles with a more or less 'real' crew that can interact with the protagonist.

Grammar is a bit meh, not that I'm a stickler for that. What's a bit of wrong punctuation and a comma missing here and there really? The reason why I mention this however is that some words are simply written wrong. This could be fixed by running it through some basic correction software. Even word can take care of it.
The other thing that's already becoming apparent is that this is kind of a rough entry into our setting. Transport the vehicles from a game into a generic fantasy setting as quickly as possible. Ok, I can work with that. But there's a bit of wonky dialogue mixed in that serves as incredibly jarring exposition drops. There are three paragraphs in the middle of chapter 1 that are nothing but one giant infodump disguised as dialogue. Don't break the illusion like that my dude.
The Ugly
If you've seen the film with Clint Eastwood you know that the ugly guy wasn't that bad. Neither is this horribole or catastrophic. This point is simply about what might turn you away from this fiction. This is half the reason why I'm writing this review. At this point in time it's still rather easy to fix.
If you read the title of my review you know what I'm talking about. You need to have pla
