Description

A bizarre field of strangeness has expanded in the wilderness, one that distorts and corrupts all within it. Said to be inhabited by monsters, anomalies and other impossible things, factions have arisen to contain, exploit or even facilitate it according to their ideologies.

One of the most significant impossibilities to emerge from the field are the so called Demons; mysterious entities purportedly capable of granting powerful gifts to those able to beckon them.

In a town sitting on the very edge of the field an aspiring witch attempts to commune with just such a creature in the hope that her cruel desires will be granted, but she has yet to learn that even in matters of the strange and unknown, nothing comes for free.

The field is a place where you can't be safe from the influence of the strange. But can this mysterious place alone make you do terrible things to the ones who wronged you? Is there something inside you that can be manipulated by a creature beyond our understanding? Perhaps your wicked human nature is enough to make a demon excited waiting for a feast.
Liz, the main protagonist, is very eager to learn more about her new "friend" from the field and what they're capable of. Many things she's doing are really morally ambiguous, but you don't have to agree with her, just see what's happening and enjoy! I also liked the humour in the story, Liz's character borders on being a villain, but she's funny and creative about solving her problems.
It's a very engaging story with an interesting setting, highly recommend!
