Twelve years later, orphaned barbarian Princess Lyra Diabolicus and her serious-minded little brother Lyre hide in a remote village on a monster-ridden island. They protect their new family’s farm with a strength that frightens dragons - and sometimes even their Uncle Bert.

But bounties on Lyra's people are large, and rumors of sightings spread fast. And soon, powerful and dangerous Royals of all kinds descend upon her island home.

Some want her captured, and others want something much worse.
