Description

Raoul is the very definition of a typical village boy; he eats, he plays, and he talks to wolves.

He doesn’t mind the monotonous days in the village and is willing to spend the rest of his life here; however, when soldiers return from a victorious war and have to pass through his village, Raoul will find that there are disagreements to be had regarding not just wolves, but bread as well.

Disagreements thereby turn into misunderstandings, and misunderstandings turn into a deadly witch hunt for Raoul and the wolves. Now suddenly, the boy finds that his life is not so typical after all. One question remains: Will he be able to survive in a life turned upside down?

Notice that this story didn't have any reviews yet so here is one.  I hope it helps out.
Overall it is a fantastic gem of a short story with filled with choices and consequences that forces our MC into situations that he is truly unprepared for.  If the story resonates with you you can easily identifying characters that you have met in your own life which helps you stay enmerged with the narrative.
The style and presentation is solid.  Our author has a firm understanding on a healthy balance between dialogue and description.
The story can easily pull on your heart strings.   Makes you cheer and yell at certain characters for their stupidity or bravery.   Despite not having much of a page count the story seems rich with history.
The grammar's on point nothing seemed awful.  However this is not my strong suit.
The characters in the story are well thought out.  They color each scene that they occupy which is a pleasure to read.
Only complain I would personally direct towards this story is I wish it was longer.  I hope to see more stories set in this world or with our MC.   Both despite having such a short page count seamed rich with history and possible future events to transmire.

Firstly, as per rules, I must mention that I'm a friend of the author. Since I've been following their writing journey for quite a bit, I can say right off the bat that there are improvements (ayyy).
Secondly, here are the actual reviews.
    STYLE
Looking at it as a web novel, the style is completely fine. There's nothing too impressive, but there wasn't anything jarring either. There were numerous uses of literary devices that work well, and a couple of uses that didn't work so well. To put it simply, the style is completely fine. It's easy to follow and digestible with small memorable moments. I do particularly like how some of the scenes were written, but alas, I won't spoil it for other readers.
    STORY
The review title says it all for this section. If i were told the plot of the story in a "summarized wikipedia page" sort of way then it really wouldn't be anything bad. However, despite the decent ideas, the story struggles with its execution and especially its length. I can see many occasions that were designed to hook the readers, and for some it might work well, but personally, I found them to be too dull. I felt like there were a lot of missed opportunities and potential that could've been explored if the story were longer. The pacing wasn't necessarily a problem while I was reading it, but looking at it in hindsight now, I should be concluding that it was too fast. Generally, the plot development was predictable. There's a multitude of tropes used that didn't impact my experience positively. While I believe that the usage of cliches and the such are completely normal and fine, the fact that the delivery fell short was what decided the rating. Additionally, I also think that some events that happened had little to no purpose on the grander scheme of things. A longer story could've perhaps unveiled the plot steadier and allowed the readers to get more attached (more said on the characters section of this review). It also sometimes felt like the story placed too mu
