A boy lost in the cold. A warrior bound by duty. A journey that will change them both.
In the shadow of a fallen name, a boy is raised in silence and discipline, far from the reach of the world that once claimed his family. Guided by a quiet mentor with a troubled past, Viktor trains for a future even he doesn’t fully understand.
But the world does not wait. As old powers stir and forgotten loyalties resurface, Viktor is drawn into a conflict that challenges not only his strength, but the foundation of who he is.
A slow-burning tale of memory, control, and quiet rebellion in a land ruled by blades and buried truths.
As Viktor learns the art of survival and war, he begins to awaken to a destiny far greater than he imagined. But to claim it, he must endure, grow, and one day stand alone.
A tale of survival, war, and honor. A journey that will forge a warrior.

- Gabbar_BadmaasRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5This is good enough work so far and considering this is the author's first novel, it's plenty good. I like both the characters mentioned in the introduction, especially the old warrior-Kaavi.
What I think is worth improving in this story is perhaps it's pace. It's just a teensy bit faster than it should be.
#SPOILERS AHEAD#
The way Viktor's mother and father died happened way too quickly. I think that if you have introduced their peaceful life then building on it for a full chapter or two or perhaps even three would have been better (something like what happened in the book 'beginning after the end'). That way their loss would have been more emotional and impactful. I feel this especially in the case of Viktor, his character deserved a little more time as a simple loving father. The author is going to elaborate more on how glorious of a warrior he was and if he had shown him as a simple man, that contrast would have given us readers SOME RUSH.
ONE MORE THING and I know it might just be me---but this line that Kaavi said--
. “The cycle of the moon, its waxing and waning, teaches us the impermanence of all things,” he thought. “Our time here is but a moment in the grand tapestry of life.”
This line was not at-all needed. It is giving the warrior some secluded scholarly vibes--I mean he is a WARRIOR; he shouldn't be thinking in words like the grand tapestry of all things, sounds very unlike an old warrior to be honest.
There are some other things too that can be improved but I believe those fine things will probably come with time.
Now if you're looking for a novel to read then this is really great if you ignore the things that I just mentioned. Even with it, this is a thumbs up
#If the author is reading my review--please don't hate me for it. In my honest opinion this novel has potential and I'm really tired of authors ruining their great work because of a little impatience. Please try to understand your characters. I am sure if you just understand the characters, you
