Description
Josh is an intelligent and promising college sophomore. But when his promising future collides with Sara and Connor's strange secret, everything changes. Josh sees Sara receive an eldritch mark of possibility from her mother and now he can things that weren't there before; markings on all of their arms that can manipulate fate. But that's not the only thing that he's seeing, as strange dreams haunt Josh's sleep and threaten to destroy his sanity. With his mind and body struggling to handle the impossible things he can now perceive, Josh has to decide: accept a mark himself, or attempt to forget everything.
This story is tricky to define by genre. It has elements of modern fantasy, psychological thriller, some romantic tension, mind bending moments of mild horror and mind bending moments of cosmic awe, and it's all wrapped up in a science-fiction-esq adventure narrative. There is some blood and violence, but it isn't the focus and it isn't particularly graphic.

- TheOldLord10256Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0Not bad for a story that brings you into the shoes of a person trying to make sense of some weird and potentially horrible things.
The grammar is great and the flow of sentences doesn't make you want to vomit from a headache at every moment and instead is very nice to read.
The main characters aren't terrible or cardboard with their own thoughts and intricacies that you learn slowly through interaction with the characters. Some side characters may feel a little cardboardy or very cardboardy but the characters that you see for only like 1 or 2 chapters are like this while those that you see for most of the story are actually decent.
The worldbuilding is decent with little info dumps or those that exist are relatively easy to understand and quick
good book give it a read
