Vaewolf - A Vampire/Werewolf Cyberpunk Fantasy LitRPG
Community Rating
Description
Textbook Definition of a Vaewolf; Hybrid, of Vampire and Werewolf.
Fae of Yore, Cybernetics and Corporate States, and now Vampires and Werewolves.
Note: The story may start off a bit slow, focusing more on establishing the lore and the world at first, rather than the LitRPG itself. I hope that's fine.
Initially inspired by a glitch in Skyrim, later expanded by mythology, fairy tales, Fae of legend, and of course, the Worlds of Darkness, and Cyberpunk.
Will involve the melding of modern and cyberpunk science with fantasy elements to allow 'attempts' to explain most magic systems.
Will also involve mentalism, spirituality, aspects of self-understanding and enlightenment.
I hope you enjoy what you find here. :)

- Alu180Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is beautifully crafted mixing a lot of different genres and themes such as cyberpunk fantasy and even some aspects of cultivation for now mostly the self discovery and self control there are also aspects of hidden/veiled world this mix manages to create an extremely enjoyable story that i definitely recommend especially to readers of god of crime as they have similarities in how the story is woven from symbology and mythos
- Buddah222Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a very well written and edited piece of enjoyment , I thoroughly recommended it worthwhile for the time it takes to read it. The author has shown his creativity and imagination in producing this outstanding piece of literature. The characters are fleshed out And brought to life as is the world, you can almost smell the rotting, putrid decay in the slums as the protagonist traverses them. The attitude of the Butler is across between Alfred from Batman and a 10-year-old, spoilt child absolutely loving him as a character with his comebacks & witty, sometimes veiled jabs . All in all, it is a really good story and I can’t recommend it highly enough looking forward to reading the rest of this Interesting story .
On a side note to the author, thank you very much for your time , effort and imagination don’t let the trolls get you down. They’re just untalented hacks that too scared to put their own effort out there so they have to criticise everybody else, to make themselves feel better . - DaithiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am loving the story so far. It catches you first chapter and its a fun easy read. I recommend giving it a try.
I was on the fence given the blurb and the over the top premise (vamp and were.......) But it makes sense and isnt OP over night by any means. I also really like the riff on magic/ cyber punk via fae realms. Quite an interesting and fun setting. - One Way JusticeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Highly enjoyable and action-heavy story. It's a page-turner for sure, with two tropes I don't usually enjoy (werewolf & vampire)... though they combine well in this one, and that makes it kind of unique. The grammar is good and the prose is clean with good descriptions, without sacrificing pacing. Will keep an eye on this story for sure.
- em_iiRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I definitely recommend reading this! I can't lie the story definitely took a little while to take off but now I'm so invested in the whole concept of just everything. I know it's been done before, but mixing monsters/supernatural stuff with sci-fi is just ahh amazing. (they're my two favourite genres so I may be a little biased) I'm looking forward to seeing some more world building stuff, and I think the quality of the writing is great and only improving, especially the dialogue. This is a great novel and I'm excited to see where it goes
- Sun HashiraRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Project Vaewulf explores the struggle of a young man trapped in controversy while battling his inner demons to remain in control of his dire situation to restore his family's long lost honor and glory.
The characters have not quite been fleshed out, as everyone is surrounded in mystery in this cyberpunk themed world that's come to clash with otherworldly beings whose objectives remain unknown.
The relationships displayed so far seem to have been enshrouded in an aura of mystique and suspicion, as alignments and allegiances remain an elusive concept, inciting viewers to remain interested to read on.
The setting of this world has went beyond the foundation stages of a world newly steeped into conflict with an alien force, and shows a world that's been established for leading an invasive force that's run on capitalism. Bureaucratic Conglomerates join Fantasy Invaders in an intertwining knot of greed and tension.
Join the rush of reading into this intriguing world that's much better than what Kingdoms of Ruins tried to establish but masterfully failed to do. - GuerreRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Love the premise of a vampire/werewolf hybrid... Just a few things that didn't do it for my personal tastes.
Firstly, this is nothing against the authors writing... But too many pov's for my tastes. Kinda wished it had stayed just miles and the old man. Multiple pov's are kind of a big turn off for me, and I don't tend to read stories that have more than 2.
Secondly... It sorta started to slow down into the doorway section, and has felt more like 95% vampire, 5% werewolf. 50 chapters in, and seems like he still hasn't even unlocked his ww side yet. Almost started to lose interest in the maze section, and noticed even comments on chapters were getting less and less too.
Don't get me wrong, author. The writing isn't bad, decent/good even. These are just my personal tastes, and seemed to think it would be a closer 50/50 split between both his halves from the description.
Hoping the story continues, despite how chapter 50 ended, and that it picks up to his ww side a little faster to balance things out. Again, love the premise of a hybrid, and look forward to more... Willing to update review at a later time if more comes out. - theguynextdoorRoyal Road★★★ 3.0Interesting premise, interesting setting and was looking to be something I'd really enjoy but I feel like the characters was a massive let down to the point where I didn't wanna read anymore to be honest.
I genuinely don't have anything bad to say about this other than that, it's still reaally early to say but the little I did read was great (other than the character part)
The vampire that invaded felt like a cheap caricature of one, borderline juvenile and I felt kind of thrown off when he spoke his last words.
The bigger issue was Miles and his butler, the butler did *not* feel like a butler and there was only so much I could take.
The amounts of times he made fun of Miles being a vampire in an almost marvel quippy kind of way felt jarring, I counted 7-8 times in 2 or so chapters and it just immediately lost me tbh.
On top of not wanting to give the vamp powers a chance at all lol, I don't even see why as Miles needed it anyways. How else would he be able to take what he was robbed of?
