V is for Vindicator (A Battletech fan fiction)

At the beginning of the Fourth Succession War, the 1st Ariana Hussars mech regiment was destroyed by two full Regimental Combat Teams of House Davion within hours of the declaration of war.  The heir to the throne was captured, the world of Algor lost, and two thirds of the Ariana Hussars were slaughtered.  The remnants of one battalion made it off world, only to find out their own leader and intelligence agency had declared them cowards and traitors, ordering their deaths.  Unwilling to give up the war with House Davion that had murdered their brethren, and unable to go home, a few mecha warriors with half functional Vindicators choose to stand against two star empires and teach them that V is for Vindicator, as they redeem their name, and avenge their dead one battle at a time.
