Forty years ago One Man made a difference. A Modern Lone Ranger helping those that had fallen through the cracks, or represented problems police were ill-equipped to deal with. this man had a car that talked, and drove, and was intended to be the first of many. That car was the second of its kind.The remains of the prior attempt at a thinking machine along with other Knight Industries memorabilia have ended up in the possession of one William Thacher. Paperwork wonk and general gofer for a midwest auto repair shop. What follows is both his attempt at rebuilding the Knight Automated Roving Robot, and dealing with the damage inflicted by the misuse and neglect it had suffered before washing up at his door.Notes: I am ignoring the 08 Knight Rider series for the most part, as it featured literal mass shifting near transformers level complexity changing vehicles, but will make select use of a few names here and there as relevant. Team Knight Rider will largely be considered sort of canon, but I won't reference much, and Knight Rider 2000 will somewhat be referenced in the loosest and broadest strokes. This largely is Original 80's series focused.
