While I'm usually not a fan of horror (I just find the vast majority of it boring) the lovecraftian angle with comedy enticed me to give it a shot and I have greatly enjoyed it. I had been fully expecting the MC to be some variant of shoggoth and thankfully a more creative approach was taken and I can't wait to see how things develop and what new things are brought to the table.

I am now a big fan of this novel and I can't wait for more. First I don't think I ever got bored or felt like it was dragging on and on and it feels like a smooth ride throughout the whole thing. The second is that the author made it so the whole LitRPG genre feels different than your regular LitRPG story. Third is that I CAN'T WAIT FOR MORE PLEASE GIVE ME MY FIX MAN.

The novel starts out extremely hilarious, with some Walter getting up to some absolutely wacky malarkey, but it quickly transforms into a "fake it till you make it" journey. I look forward to the end of Volume 1, and the continuation of Walter's eldritch adventure. Now I've said all I want to say, but the website is making reach a 50 word count, so I'm going to pad it out just a little bit. I'm not going to do that cheap tactic that some do, and copy-paste a bunch of random letters in, I'm just going to make you read more. It's good for your character.

This story came out of nowhere, and I just can’t fathom how.
It’s written at a professional level (in my opinion) and the plot has been fantastic. It has some recognizable themes that I tend to enjoy reading and I’m very excited to see how the amazing setting Tismon has brought develops!
The world building of this story is phenomenal, the characters not very unique but still very enjoyable. To craft this story Tismon has taken multiple tropes and intertwined them all perfectly to give us this masterpiece in the making.
Good luck to all, happy writing for authors, and in case I don’t see you, good afternoon, good evening and good night ;)

Normally, I’m not a big fan of stories where the protagonist isn’t exactly a “brawler” and relies more on deception, cleverness, or sheer manipulation to overcome conflicts and move the plot forward. I usually prefer characters who solve their problems through brute force or direct confrontation. However, Unwilling Eldritch Horror of Fortune showed me that this kind of approach can be incredibly entertaining—as long as the author knows how to execute it properly. And here, they absolutely do.
One of the first things I have to highlight about the story’s premise is Walter’s system. Honestly, I absolutely loved the idea of using luck as a real, tangible power. I genuinely think it’s brilliant. You don’t often come across a story that treats luck and chance not merely as convenient coincidences, but as an active, almost physical force within the narrative. On top of that, it’s genuinely hilarious to see how this manipulation of fortune directly affects the protagonist and completely reshapes his interactions with the world around him.
What’s most impressive is that the system never feels like a lazy or arbitrary deus ex machina. It’s applied consistently, logically, and in full alignment with the rules of the universe itself. At the same time—and this is the interesting part—it does function narratively like a deus ex machina, but in such a well-crafted way that it never feels unfair or frustrating. I admit this might sound confusing in my explanation, but as the chapters unfold, everything flows smoothly and naturally, without ever breaking the reader’s immersion.
Another aspect I really appreciated is how the author portrays the protagonist as manipulative, strategic, and, when necessary, perfectly willing to lie outright—even to his own allies—if that’s the best option for both himself and the group. Walter constantly exists between two vastly different “worlds,” each with its own rules, dangers, and expectations, which forces him to adopt completely different behav

Consistently great (except for that one chapter Mr Tismon) love all the characters and it is a unique premise on a heavily overdone genre. Thoroughly enjoying it. I love the worshiping aspect I think that it really gives a twist to a genre that has very one sided overpowered characters or has a character that never has power in the name of balancing. Keep doing what you are doing. Lots of love

There is NOTHING else like it. Gore and eldritch horror; Site administrator, trial challenger go hand to hand in this story.
It is hilarious, sometimes horrifying, all-times Absolute masterpiece.
The story revolves around our protagonist Walter. A honest to goodness small-time thug. But the twist is, our friend Walter is one lucky bastard.
He gets kidnapped through unknown means, and when he comes to, he finds that he has The Absolute Luck System on his side.
[Spoilers about the first few chaps]
With Luck on his side, Walter starts exploring his surroundings, accidentally tripping himself while unveiling a hidden keypad.
He bullshits his way through the very long passcode, by using the Luck system. Through the passcode, he is recognized as an Arbiter for the Site. As he goes through the door, he stumbles upon a room riddled with eldritch monstrosities working as.. honest to goodness office workers.
This and that happen, and now he has to do the job of an "Arbiter" which we don't know anything about while also participating in these "trials" conducted within the Site, as an Aspirant. A challenger for the "trials".
He goes back to the initial chamber and starts his adventure of leading a double life. The Aspirants think he is on their side as just another Aspirant, while the Site administration thinks that he is an Arbiter acting as an Aspirant with a human camouflage.
And thus begins Walter's double life.

Hentai fans, please don't answer that.
Although this is not the first time we see on Roya Road either; eldritch horror litrpg; side character to "regresor/typical MC" actual Main Character; Luck powers, or absurd comedy with a main character stumbling to glory, this novel diferenciantes itself with its clever application of the premises mentioned to form a whole that can stand on its own.
Personally I think that luck powers can easily lead to justifying hand wavy stuff, which often could lead to a reader losing their suspension of disbelief or getting pulled out of the story, but in this case, minus some minor situations, I was able to look past it thanks to the overarching background arc that takes all the parts of the story and pulls them into a single novel, plus the author often has the main character in narrative situations that limit his applications of this near almighty power. I also like the characters presented so far, all with their bombastic personalities or characteristics, hilariously with the eldritch aliens often behaving more normal and human than the actual humans.
Also important to mention, the novel is well polished in plot holes and grammar, which is worth a star by itself and makes it an enjoyable read.
    Recommended, thanks for sharing.

First things first, I love the idea for the story and as a comedy it shines through the use of subversion. I particularly enjoy the authors description of Xalla, the strange alien whom seems to have a budding relationship with our main character.
However what stops me from ranking this higher in the story category, is the use of luck to represent the main characters power. This concept needs to be handled with great care to still allow for intensity and the suspension of disbelief in your readers. A good way to do this might be by using running out of ‘Luck Charges’  as a main way of raising tension.
The style of writing is fine, it doesnt do anything particularly intriguing and lends itself to being rather short and snappy. Which is absolutely fine if you enjoy getting straight to the action, but leaves the reader bereft of grounding commentary. Exposition is still present, but is skimmed over so quickly you are left feeling it has no weight on current circumstances at all.
Now, as for grammar, it is most certainly lacking. Of course, learning english is a full time job no matter where you’re from, but there are a few basic problems in there which prevents me from bumping it up a bit higher. If you want some pointers author, or want to argue your case, message me privately.
Now we get to the part that explains why I claimed this piece as ‘cliched.’ I have noticed in some works on this site, that subversion tends to overwrite character. While this may not bother some, it will bother others. I do not enjoy reading characters that ‘go with the flow’ that the author intends to take them in simply because it gets some tedious character work out of the way. This is something that cannot simply be written off as ‘well these people have mind altering abilities.’ The use of these abilities must be clearly described to the reader, not because they are unable to figure it out for themselves but because it is imperative to be shown that these people are actually people, undern

I had fun reading this story, and there are plenty of other reviews talking about the positives of it, but I feel like someone needs to acknowledge the ungodly amounts of coincidences, unrealistic outcomes (even with the luck system, which is absurd), and inconsistencies this story has.
This story has a glaring issue with inconsistencies.
The abilities of his luck system and his own skills are incredibly inconsistent, seemingly based on whatever the author needs at the moment. Sometimes it can fake mastery in skills that even gods cannot perform (literary creating life from random body parts), and make impossible changes to natural phenomena, yet it will fail on the most arbitrary things, like helping the MC say the right words (for example, in the negotiations with the overseer, even I can make a compelling argument but somehow this social genius MC with his reality-warping luck skill couldn't???)
Secondly, the premise that this random guy is able to BS his way into convincing universal beings that he is their close friend, is frankly, quite absurd. Having almost no knowledge of anything beyond a regular person, the MC is able to just fake being the close friends of gods that they've had for millennia? (probably A LOT more than this, it's just a VERY conservative estimate). The MC is often able to make up things, based on nothing but his limited human perspective, and have them somehow just be true every time. This happens without the overpowered luck skill, and he is just able to perform this vanishingly unlikely task consistently?
Also HOLY HELL is there a lot of glazing from the other character's perspectives, especially on skills and interactions the MC has no reason to appear even slightly competent in.
However, if you can suspend your disbelief and ignore these glaring holes, I think it could be an enjoyable read.
At the end of the third volume, it is revealed that the MC is actually the famed Arbitor W that he pretends to be (big surprise, we totally didn't
