- SxguysRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0A bit rough but grows on you.
The main character is an @sshole but here's the thing, you understand why he is the way he is, and the explanation for it and how he deals with it is some pretty awesome writing.
Likeable side characters help push the story along at a fast clip. And yes, I'm in the middle of binging it as I write this. - Pandapocalypse1992Royal Road★★★★ 4.0So the MC lives with some mental health issues, only to then have them quantified when the system arrives.
This story is basically a romp across the countryside, with the MC trying to get home. All the while managing his willpower that's tested by all the people he meets along the way. Lots of monster mashing, and door kicking action.
Most of the characters in this book are fairly well fleshed out. There are a few minor, but consistent, spelling and grammar issues throughout.
some of the systems mechanics, rewards, and numbers go brrrr could use a little work. But overall still feeds my little number goblin.
This book is an underrated treasure, and I can't believe I haven't heard anything about it in the 18 months it's been up. Give it a go.
