Tanks , machine guns and rifles are all part of a soldiers life and death.Tools of the trade if you will.On the battlefield you can become famous if you survive.Not like it mattered to Stan.It was not Stans choice to fight , consrcipted forced to serve his country.Stan was not meant to be part of the Polish army he was an electrician not a soldier.Glory was not his due , no the heroic battles would all be fought by other nations.Not his Poland  the  country of our protagonist Stan did little in the war according to  them.This tale of the first engagement regarded as a joke.They called this It the phony war.
