Damien just moved back to his hometown of Peregrine, Illinois, only to discover the once-safe bluffs have now laid claim to many missing hikers. After a particularly nasty storm, Damien is at work when he encounters a damaged path in the woods, where he can hear someone crying for help. What he discovers will change his life, his body, and his very soul.
