- CorruptedNightFallRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall: I enjoyed it thoroughly. I don't have much to say but it was so good that I just had to do an advanced review. (I do not do this often, it is not just fake words)
Story: Very solid plotline, no plot holes to be seen.
Style: I enjoyed the style, very nice.
Grammar: No grammar mistakes.
Character: They were well-built and I want to know more about them!

Nox is probably the most down on his luck Main Character I've seen. Can't catch a break, either destined or manipulated into problem after problem after problem. He's determined to keep going, which is good because it looks like they're not gonna let him stop anytime soon.
I'm intrigued to learn what kind of history Nox has in this world, what his heritage is and how that plays into the story. The worldbuilding is rich and in-depth; it's very interesting for a supernatural sci-fi premise, with plenty to play around with.
The story is dark but doesn't feel as heavy as it could be. The writing style is quick to switch scenes, a bit apathetic and jumpy, but it mirrors Nox's personality. With his internal dialogue, he comes off as exactly the weird, goofy teen (?) that he's supposed to be, just dropped into a horrific situation and told to cope or die.
If I have a complaint, it's the formatting of the internal dialogue -- the [ brackets ] are used frequently on RR in LitRPG systems, so my brain stumbles thinking they're out of context system information rather than internal dialogue. I've seen italics used frequently for internal dialogue, if you wanna try that! - WayOfTheWeirdRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Overall, the story presents an engaging and fun premise. It follows a main character who is training at an academy to build and use magitech in the fight against demons. The plot moves at a fairly brisk pace, keeping things interesting. If you're a fan of stories involving magic, technology, and action-packed training arcs, I’d definitely recommend giving this one a read!
- scantraRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0Honestly, this was such a fun read. The premise of the story is really interesting and the MC -Nox- was spunky and likable right away. I even liked the family pretty quickly although I do wish we had a little more time with them so we could really have appreciated their loss.
Here is where I think the story could improve:
1. Pacing - the story moves pretty quickly which seems to be a strength and a weakness. The fast pace kept me engaged but there were parts where I wish the story had slowed down a bit so we could really experience what the MC was going through.
2. Characters - The MC was really well done in my opinion but the other characters I met (I only got to chap. 3) needed some more page time to fully appreciate their influence on the story.
Overall this was a great story. If you are looking for something fun and easy to pick up, I would recommend this novel.
