Story Summary (English) – Twins

Sara, an Iranian geneticist who immigrated to the United States years ago, has devoted her life to biology, genetics, and space science. Despite her deep love for science — or perhaps because of it — she and her husband, Pedram, a neural AI engineer, have never had children.

But now, in her late 40s, Sara is ready to begin an extraordinary project: to create genetically identical twins using her own egg and Pedram’s sperm — and carry them herself.

What makes their project unique is the integration of nano-scale neural chips, developed by Pedram, inspired by Elon Musk’s brain-machine interface — but miniaturized to work inside a developing embryo’s brain. These chips, delivered via nanorobots, form a bio-electronic connection between the twins’ brains.

However, something unexpected happens.

Instead of forming two separate embryos, the development results in a single body with two fully formed brains — each brain controlling its own eyes, ears, and nervous system. The bio-adhesive used in the chip integration causes a rare neural-physical fusion that leads to a dual-consciousness lifeform inside one body.

Now Sara and Pedram must confront a terrifying question:Have they created the future of human evolution — or crossed a line science was never meant to touch?
