Description

Triquetra: An Multi-Class Isekei Adventure

I know, I know, you have heard it all before.  Yes I was hit by a truck. Yes I ended up in a Fantastical World suspiciously similar to one of my favorite RPG’s. Yes I had access to cheats no one else possessed. Yes it was a world of classes and levels and magic powers.  Finally, yes I was an overweight middle-aged loser failing to live up to my potential. Given my eclectic reading habits I should have been better prepared.

Unfortunately I was not. Sure I could multi-class with reduced penalties, but my starting class was Scholar! No combat abilities and very limited spellcasting. My HUD interface costs mana to use, and my universal translation seemed to be outsourced  to Giggle Translate. I’m supposed to be an OP MC! Not a slice-o- life struggling to survive in the wilderness. Not to mention the Arch-Magus who summoned me, mistimed everything, I arrived 300 years too late, after the fall of the Empire I was supposed to save. The surviving remnants have devolved into Murder Hobos. What’s worse is that the Great Devourer, Ancient Calamity, and Spawn from the Void Beyond Time, Space, and Sanity is now aware of a new world to plunder, a world called Dirt!  (Told you this translator sucks)

Warning Extra Crunchy Authorial Vebosity!

Lots of infodump in the early chapters, but I learn my lesson and it does get better, eventually.

I do not own the Cover image, found it on a free image site.

This story covers familiar territory as stated in the summary and it does it well enough to be interesting. The story has no issues with grammar that I have noticed. The characterization of story is satisfactory with the main character reacting as expected to an isekai in the beginning. The story itself is still building up. The one issue I have with this story is the excessive amount of exposition in the beginning first 10 chapters along with the blue text and gamespeak which could be condensed into one or two chapters, rather than forcing the reader to slog through 10 chapters to get to the actual story. An example of what the author could be writing is with the recently shown interlude which grabs the readers attention and reveals the potential of this story. Overall this story is interesting and has potential to be great.

This feels like the author spent a lot of time in creating the RPG elenents of this novel. Its a lot of upfront knowledge the author throws at you.

Need to tone down the explanations other than that i like it

I actually had to 'skim' parts because the system mechanics descriptions were so detailed and dry.  Like reading a D&D rules book.
That said, the world-building and the style and so many other aspects have great potential and are entertaining when you get past the massive dumps of detail and obscure rules explanations.
I hope that this was a 'start fo story infodump' rather than a 'constant info-dump' but honestly the author might be better off creating an index type chapter at some point and moving all the detailed information to it and then doing summaries in the story itself.  Much of the information truly seems to be reference material rather than plot/story material.

I like the system and the concept, but the constant infodump and over explanations hurt the story. There's so much I feel like I'm supposed to remember, but I don't know how important each bit is, and after 14 chapters it still feels like we're in the prologue. I'd say the author needs to tone down the volume of info he's giving us on his system and focus on the more important bits.  I also didn't like how the MC was so set one way at the start, never followed that before or after the vow, then suddenly realized it at one point. I spent all that time trying to understand how the vow worked, what it did, the consequences, and then it's just kind of thrown out the window.
I think this story needs to be thought through again, streamlined a little bit, and given a sense of purpose to the plot. Right now it's just a guide on how to work this system the author has thought up.
I do apologize if it gets better later, but I couldn't slog through much more of the infodump.

MC seems to be a nice person, though not that much has happened yet, the system is reasonable and not broken at the moment.
Edit: does feel a bit of a slog so dropping a star. Litrpg needs to have purpose to the details on how the game world runs, not just be there for the sake of it.

Interesting World interesting characters interesting Concepts but I find that you can skip about 90% of what's said and understand still. In fact I find it difficult to invest in any way. The amount that this character talks about English literature indicates to me that potentially the author has a fascination with English literature. Trust me as a fan of the classics I get that and trust me this is really good on the technical side of things. But from the human perspective it's like reading an info dump with some story.

I find myself skipping a lot of explanations. Knowing how everything works is fine, but making it that detailed as if quoting game manual isnt entertaining. Wished the story would focus more on the MC than side chapters.
