Description
Jamie is stuck in rut in life until he is faced with his doppleganger and winds up in a parallel timeline.
Important note: I have two books I've thought about writing for a while. Posted a few chapters of both to see interest and feedback. Any feedback is appreciated. Consider looking at each of the stories if one should take priority on being written.
Thanks in advance!

- DeniceHopeRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'd say this story is pretty unique so far, a bit odd, but I think it has great potential. I would classify it is a science fiction book with a good deal of humor. It seems like the characters are being flushed out over time, and it does seem like their personalities are being developed. The environment is relatively developed. I could see this being a book I would pick up off a bookshelf and be interested enough to buy or borrow.
Some might find the plot and development a little slower than ideal, but it is still quicker moving than slice of life stories, and not slow enough to be boring. I would say part of that critique is because of the format of stories on this site and only having intermittent chapters up rather than necessarily a slow moving book. If I were comparing it to a regular book it is quick enough for a plot development, certainly not something to slow to be bored, skim content, or skip chapters. I also don’t think the author is just filling content.
There is a good amount of dialogue at times, but not overly or unnecessarily so. The writing is good, nothing there from a grammar standpoint that jumped out or made the story difficult to follow.
As suggestions: The chapters seem a bit varied on length, and that could be made a bit more uniform. - Emilie MillieRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Style: written in the third person, the reading flows quite smoothly; the storytelling is quite rich in description, so you won't be feeling anything missing. Though, if I had to add something, it would be that the pacing has left me perplexed (check Story).
Grammar: Despite the fact that English is not my first language, I am proud to say that I am decent enough to point out when English is written incorrectly. If there was one thing I had to point out about this novel's grammar, it would be that commas are occasionally omitted or misplaced.
Story: As I previously stated, the pacing left me perplexed, not so much with the individual chapters' pace as with the overall novel's pace. It could be my unfamiliarity with the genre, but I find the overall pacing to be rather slow; I'm not blaming it, just pointing it out.
There are currently 7 chapters as of the time I'm writing this review, so this is subject to change over time.
I've read 7 chapters and I'm still in this very unfamiliar environment that is this world. I understand that much more could be shown later in the story, but as a reader, I would've liked to see a glimpse of the mc world before being thrown into the journey that is this novel since chapter 2.
This is just an impression, but soon this novel will be tripping, if not outright confusing; for the time being, it is more mysterious than anything else.
Characters: So far, four characters have been introduced, the majority of whom are quite haughty with the MC, who, let's be honest, deserves the treatment he gets, for he is reeking of that sidekick energy. I really hope that he will change as the story advances, for his current personality is rather depressing to behold.
Overall: Though there aren’t many chapters out yet, I would say the novel is definitely worth a read.
