The worst storm recorded in modern human history had decided that Gyza International Academy of Magic and Wizardry seemed like a lovely place to stop by, which wouldn't have been a problem for Jonah Wilchammer if it weren't because of the mandatory lesson held at the same time, or the fact that he couldn't even wait inside the Academy.

No, he had to walk through the storm back to his apartment, all the while hoping he would arrive safely. And what happens?

After being struck by lightning, despite being in the middle of a bunch of tall buildings with lightning rods, Jonah wakes up in another world.

Whod a thunk it but this novel is shaping up to be an excellent story. It's realistic and follows its own logic. The characters are fun and im really looking forward to exploring the world!!! The story could go anywhere and this start really excites me with how fantastic yet grim it is

Ever since Cradle I've always liked the concept of atmospheric mana or energy.
I wish there were more details of his surroundings because that part is pretty lacking. The tension is definitely there though (for now). If we delve more into the atmospheric side of mana things could get interesting.
