The countdown showed 24 hours, after which humanity would face it's biggest challenge ever, and upon entering the challenge, every challenger was given a chance for greatness, and for survival.

But the ability our new hero received upon entering, was something which at first seemed underwhelming, but which holds almost unlimited potential.
