Description

Life on the lower branches is hard. And it's made harder by the mist storms that rise up from the lost world below bringing madness, twisted monstrosities, and tragedy. The mist is the reason the world below is abandoned, but how safe a refuge is the Tree? And is it truly as eternal as the Thornbound claim?

Reg Olverspiel is a herder who will leap at a chance to try out for the guard force that protects the Tree from the twisted monsters below. Doing so sets him on a path to discover the mysteries of the Tree and of the lost world below.

Well written with decently good pacing. The world slowly unfolds through the eyes of the MC. Like a good authour it's more show then tell. The MC is being fleshed out and the side characters are gaining dept. Looking forward to see where this will go.
Somethings are stressed which could have been left out. There are some grammar and spelling problems but overall it's a decent read.
We as a reader know he will get into the guard but the MC doesn't and doesn't have any semi concrete plans for if he doesn't so the story tension is a bit lavking in that area but otherwise good enough.
Some of the plot points will have to be adressed later on hopefully.
The passage of time when mentioned seems longer then it is.
Slow paced for having gone on for 24 chapters. Oh well! We'll see where it will go from here. Looking forward to reading more.
