Trapped in the Memories

My name is Anthony John Williams, but I go by AJ. I’m sixteen, and I’ve been trying to pick myself up after witnessing the murder of my parents seven years ago. Since then, I’ve lived with my grandparents. For the longest time, I’ve wanted to live a normal teenage life–wanting to go to school and make some friends for a change. However, l know it’s easier said than done as I feel constantly trapped in my mind. My therapist tells me that my constant flashbacks and panic attacks would make it very difficult for me to be in a high school setting. I want to prove to her that I can do it. I want to prove to her that I can do things on my own; I just have to free myself from my own mind first.
