Went in with high hopes, but man does it seem to fall off hard once the AI is introduced. It's unnecessarily hostile and insulting with no logic given. Kind of how you'd imagine a bratty and obnoxious step-sibling who just discovered how to form insults out of words would behave towards an adopted sibling they don't want.
I enjoy snark in setups like this, even a bit of opposition can be nice, but it just feels immature and jarring in this story, distracting from the actual substance of it.
