- AckmanRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This is a story about William ( AKA Wie Liang ). He ends up in a new Cultivation world in dire straits with a timely rescue. His arrival is interesting and it hooked me in.
William and the supporting characters have their own personality and all are developed and interesting. I did enjoy the few added side glimpses ( short character stories ) they were interesting to read as they gave more insight to the overall story.
The author does a great job about keeping those pesky errors away making this an enjoyable read.
the antics of William make him more of a human versus an over powered character.
so far I am enjoying the story and eagerly await an email saying the next chapter is ready.
if you're into littpg or cultivation stories this book is definitely for you! - F.L. RileyRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This series blends the best tropes on Royal Road. LitRPG, Xanxia, and Portal. And it does it well.
The MC wakes to find himself in another world one where he gains a system. A system that will allow him to carve a path forward by cultivating.
The story if very slice of life, with the author exploring how the MC learns to adapt to his new world and life. If you are expecting non-stop murder-hobo this is not the story for you.
But if you are looking for a well written story that tells the authentic story of how someone would adapt finding themself in a new world, give this a chance. - KacperCRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I really like this story and other cultivation stories in general, but this one is one of my favorites on this site. The grammar is good and doesn't have any mistakes. The style of writing is enjoyable for reading. The system is a typical LitRPG system with stats and skills, but it's good for me. Overall, I enjoyed reading this story and recommend it to you too.
- QuintenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story is decent, nice grammar and a good progression rate. It has all the storytelling quirks of a xianxia without the cringy parts and the bad grammar. Fun read, I'll definitely follow this one for a while!
The plot seems to have no glaring holes so far but some elements did quirk my eyebrows, I'll have tp see how they develop but I have faith. - phatpainRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Liked the story. Waiting new chapters :)
Didn't like the random stat deletion before lvl10 and the sudden jump from lvl 4 to 10 with rabbits only (felt little rushed compared to earlier progression). In Cultivation stories normaly the plants contain qi or whatever soo why not use them as a xp source.
Would have liked if character suffered more because of his low stats what i presume is on the level of a toddler. Mc says it is a pain in the ass, but isn't effected at all. - placeholdererRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I'm not that big into cultuvation stories usually, which made this an even more pleasant surprise. So far I'm having a ton of fun reading!
While I don't always agree with the MC, his perspective is still very entertaining to follow. The main part I love is the progression though. The pacing just feels right: it's easy to let the progression get bogged down to a glacial pace, or speed it up so much it loses its meaning. I like the pacing here though and can't wait to find out what the author has in store for us next.
If I had to add criticism, I would mention that I tend to get a bit confused with the names sometimes. That might just be me though, and is a very minor issue anyways however :)
It's a great read! - zmikezRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Overall, good grammar, I like the style and characters. The story is very quickly coming together and the speed at which the author updates is honestly kind of astounding in comparison to what I'm used to seeing.
The MC comes off as a little naive while also knowing the tropes, somewhat expecting certain things to happen while still being somewhat surprised at the suddeness and brutality of it.
Looking forward to reading more. - CanubisRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I am really enjoying this story. It's well written with few noticeable errors and good pacing. A solid cultivation story. I'm excited to see where the author takes us. The cultivation and stats are explained clearly and make sense. The world building so far is detailed without being exhausting. This will definitely be one of the fictions I check daily hoping for an update.
- AistisRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I am not a big fan of cultivation stories, but this one got me hooked almost immediately.
putting a western RPG system to completely mess up the whole cultivation process is a great idea and just knowing that a previous cultivator somehow made it brings more questions that demand answers
Great stuff from page one to end of book 1 - LonahoraRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5It's a good story but feels like it's treading on too many risky plot points that failed other novels. One example is mixing a system with traditional cultivation and making them intertwine in both the good and the bad parts. Since it had yet to step over the line, I stick to a very optimist 4.5/5, hoping it won't disappoint.
