With swords sticking out from his chest, Zyrus took his last breaths atop a broken throne.
In the year 3675, humanity was summoned to the sanctuary. In that world governed by the'System'he had carved out a safe haven for them to survive.
He was the Void Monarch who had slain the Eternals, The Immortal beings who ruled over the sanctuary since the dawn of time.
Well, he thought he did.
Until they killed him on the day of ascension.
Zyrus sighed as memories of his life flashed by him, and the last thing he saw were the faces of the Eternals looking down on him with a mocking grin.
'Isuppose they really were immortals...'
"No, they were not.”
In the final moments of his life he heard a whisper that resounded like an echo from abyss.
“So, do you want to try again?”
Zyrus looked at the black robed man who had appeared out of nowhere, and his red eyes were the last thing he saw before everything went blank.

- Dougulas KaienRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0This story is very regression-focused. The MC reaches a demigod level in his first life only to lose everything in the end due to betrayal. Somehow he goes back in time (1,000 years?) and starts over again with his litrpg progression. So what will he do differently? How will this OP dude influence the rest of humanity?
This story is heavily inspired by Solo Leveling manhwa, so some of the approaches/decisions are similar. But this MC doesn't have the baggage of a family or loved ones to protect, so he could really go wild in his 2nd life and do his thing. It's been a great ride so far, and I look forward to more. - FlameCabbageRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story is about a powerful being(Zyrus) who is made to start over again. An often-used idea, but it's done for a good reason. Getting to see what a highly competent character will do when given a second chance is always interesting, especially when he still failed the first time, so we know they will have challenges ahead. This story does this trope well and is an excellent addition to this genre of stories.
STYLE and GRAMMAR: The style is short and to the point, making it a pretty easy read. It really fitting for such a fast-paced story. There weren't any big grammar mistakes except for the occasional missed punctuation in dialog. Overall, the style and grammar are good.
STORY: Very interesting and fast-paced story. Things move quickly and there are no wasted moments as the plot progresses. It lets us get to the really fun parts of the story without anything slowing it down.
CHARACTER: Zyrus is a ruthless type of MC. It's not usually my cup of tea but he's written well for that kind of character and if you like characters like him you'll love this story.
OVERALL: The story is a really fun and interesting LitRPG. It's very fast-paced, which lets us get to the really compelling parts of the story sooner. And if you really enjoy ruthless second-chance stories, then you should definitely give this one a try. - Ancient_DevilRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Very good storyline and a good pace character development. The mc is also not very annoying and his development is pretty stable with some side character story here and there. A good amount of explanation for everything but not too much that you will feel sick reading it.The world building is also pretty good. Overall I'll give it a 5 ⭐
- WanderingMerchantRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5An interesting premise. While the idea of reincarnation isn't fresh out of the box, we follow the character Zyrus, who was once a powerful being known as the void mage, in his journey to get enough strength to permanently 'Task End' the Eternals. If you're a fan of worlds that are built on game aspects, then I'll recommend it.
STYLE: Short sentences delivers the message the author wants to convoy. However, there are sometimes confusion on who is speaking. And the way the sentences are spaced abruptly cuts the flow of the narration.
STORY: Very engaging, with little to no chapter being a bore or lacking action. It goes fast, and I mean Fast. So if you enjoy stories that get to the fun stuff immediately, then this is for you.
CHARACTER: Zyrus, the MC, is a regressor. Now there is a good chance you know what comes with that: cold blooded, direct, manipulative, will do anything to regain his powers, etc. Personally, I didn't vibe well with Zyrus, but if you're a cold-blooded MC enthusiast, this novel's for you. But as a side note, the other characters do need a little more fleshing out so that they stand out more.
GRAMMAR: In my opinion the weakest link in this book. I know that the author is releasing a lot of chapters, but the heavy lack of punctuations in the novel chipped away at my desire to read. If there are no question marks or exclamation ones, it is rare to see punctuation in the ending of a dialogue. While it might seem nitpicky, but some dialogues require (!) to feel fluid.
And the other weakness is how about three words are repeated. Spoke, asked, and thought. A better variety would truly serve the story justice.
OVERALL: A good story, but it needs quite a bit of editing to truly show its shine. - Carpet RiderRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5i love the idea in this story!
it have some of the few things that i love and wish for in non-human MC type story and the author executes it perfectly.
the writing style somehow didn't really match with me but it still executed perfectly that it didn't put me off when reading it, it just keep me getting attracted to it and makes me read some more. - Mirosz505Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5The first 100 chapters are rough and confusing, a lot of things seems to not make any sense but belive me there are explanations to most of the questions, after around 100 chapters i started to really enjoy this fiction. Give it a chance.
(ofc we get answers throught the story but around 100 it's really started making sense to me)
Words words Words words Words words Words words - HallowfearRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0So let me start out by saying the first chapter is boring. It's just 'the mc killed things and leveled up.', along with 'here's a bunch of exposition.' That's the entire first chapter. The fight scenes aren't interesting at all. That being said, if you read to the second chapter things get a LOT better. It feels like the author was still getting his feet under him while he figured out what to write, as later in the book, the fight scenes become more detailed and interesting. The plot begins to pick up, too. Just get past the first chapter, really, you could like this story quite a bit.
Style is fine, it's really fast paced as others mentioned. I think it should slow down just a tad to focus on the details better. For example, I never know what the scenery looks like. At all. For all I know, they could be killing golems in outer space. Once again, later chapters do a better job setting the scene.
Grammar is not great, I won't lie. It's not so bad that it's hard to read, though, which is a plus. I can read it smoothly and understand everything. There's the occasionally misspelled word or straight up incorrect word, but luckily it doesn't happen too often. The thing that bothers me the most is the lack of punctuation. Every other sentence is missing a period. ALL of the dialogue is missing punctuation. Literally all of it. ONCE AGAIN, this gets a bit better in later chapters, but still not perfect.
The characters could use some better fleshing out. I think the comments on the second chapter do a pretty good job of explaining it. The MC has a really obvious personality though which is a good thing. Additionally, the supporting cast also becomes more nuanced in later chapters. There's a running theme, here.
Overall, you could probably skip the first chapter and enjoy the story just as much if not more. In fact, I would basically recommend the author do just that, cut about 90% of the first chapter. Everything gets a lot better from there. I pointed out a lot of flaws in - AzureDaoistRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Pretty good novel, the setting and world building are at least interesting. A lot of things are happening for both the MC and reader there are a lot of mysteries.
The power system isn't that clear cut litrpg either, there is a system but power isn't limited to the system for me that's definitely a plus, makes things a bit more "non-standard".
The biggest con for me is the tone of the novel, every character is bantering, sarcastic or a Manic Pixie Girl. So even when enemies meet or the situation is serious it seems a bit like a joke. Don't know if the author wanted to write a comedy but for me it lacks seriousness. - TheNormanRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5Story is fine, but the author needs to get a proofreader.
I understand that English might be a second language (after reading some other reviews). Still, when I read causality instead of casualty (every single time), it tends to jar me out of the story and try to figure out why more time travel than just the regression is happening when I expect people to die. - JimraynerRoyal Road★★ 2.0The story could have been good but it feels so so rushed. The characters, interactions, combat, etc. It all feels like rough sketch instead of the finished product. The author is so hell bent on mass uploads that they don't take time to carefully write an actual story. The rushed editing I can ignore, but the interactions feel like high schoolers roleplaying in some fantasy story instead of actually being there.
The main character is like a teenager who got combat memories/specific knowledge uploaded to his brain instead of a regressed Monarch who killed millions in a quest for immortality. He acts, talks, thinks and behaves like a teenager, I don't really get the point of selling a story with the regressir tag if you cannot write about it. Maybe it's just so rushed that they have no time?
Side characters are just more poorly written high schoolers with random backgrounds and interactions, none of then really stand out.
The action/combat is pretty lackluster, just a bunch of numbers, spaces, dots and victory messages. No real tension (for readers or the characters since the mc starts yelling out random disses. It's funny sometimes but just out of place).
The plot is really random and honestly boring, just jumps from here to there. It could have been interesting but it's just so rushed and poorly written right now.
I honestly don't understand the point of rushing so many low quality and usually unedited chapters? Why not spend some time actually writing about the interactions, characters, plot? Quanity is not better than quality, I'd rather read 10 good chapters than 100 poorly written chapters. Just a big waste of potential and time honestly. RIP
