Author's Note
I entered this short story in the recent WriTE Valentine's Competition and earned the "Best Romance Score" award. While it wasn't a total victory, it was something, and I'm thankful for it. Now, here's the uncut version with the full blown out short story that I had to cut down to 5k word limit to enter the competition. Enjoy!

- RznRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5This romance story is a good short read. It has some good character interaction and dialogue, but the prose has a few errors and the choice of expressions can be a bit awkward at times. I am a little surprised at the characters being careless and thoughtless which made for a dramatic, but almost entirely unnecessary hurdle. Even on the point of Vijay himself, I can expect a little density but given the circumstances it felt as if the twist was born out of a desire to make a twist.
