- DarkodiaRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0"Toilet to Another World" is an enigmatic tale that weaves a tapestry of two seemingly unrelated narratives into a climax that is as baffling as it is beguiling. The story begins with an arcane ceremony gone awry in a realm far from the ken of conventional reality. Here, the reader is treated to a spectacle of expectation dashed in the most unexpected of ways, leaving the inhabitants of this mystical world confounded by a comedic yet unsettling outcome.
Parallel to this is the chronicle of a modern-day youth, whose ordinary struggles with indulgence and digital escapism unknowingly entwine with the fates of those in a distant land. The juxtaposition of the grandiose and the mundane creates a dichotomy that is as intriguing as it is perplexing. The characters are an enigma, presented with just enough detail to whet the appetite, yet retaining an air of mystery that shrouds their true intentions and the depth of their personas.
The story dances on the edge of clarity, skillfully keeping the reader at arm's length from full comprehension, yet compelling them to lean in closer with each page. Subtle hints suggest a connection between worlds that is as tenuous as it is significant, teasing the reader with fleeting glimpses into the cosmic puzzle.
What could be dismissed as mere coincidence is given weight by the earnestness of the characters, who navigate the oddities thrown their way with a blend of valor and vexation. The prose itself maintains a deliberate ambiguity, leaving much to the imagination and interpretation, and inviting a contemplative reflection on the nature of chance and destiny. In essence, "Toilet to Another World" is a cryptic journey through a narrative labyrinth that promises much and reveals just enough to tantalize the literary palate. - Reader1587Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I clicked on the advert for this novel because I found it funny and did not expect much.
So far I have not regretted reading this story. The basic premise is quite fun. A Kingdom in need of a powerful hero tries a summoning ritual. It fails, but the portal opens to the protagonist's toilet instead.
He happens to be an average nonviolent and non-heroic student who tries hard to cope with a new situation and inevitably improvises a lot. At this stage there are definitely several possible routes where the story can go.
I am looking forward to what is going to happen next and will be rooting for an unlikely hero. - theSupportSystemRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0When it comes to a gag concept, you try not to get your hopes up. But the story seems to be advancing towards being a genuine exploration of “what if instead of a hero to fight the umpteenth continuation of this pointless war we got a portal to another universe” while also being genuinely funny. Definite recommend.
