  The story is a good one that hits a lot of the sci-fi needs. Space combat, AI and biological wars, religious zealots and shadowy organisations. In a lot of ways it reminded me of mass effect, with the weapons being similar, the driving villain resembling cerberus and the hero reborn after death (not a spoiler, thats prologue stuff).
  However it is a little misleading. The summary made me believe it was going to be about an AI and primitive species, adrift through the stars, exploring and getting involved in lots of small things. It isnt that, the primitives dont stick around too long apart from one character.
  Its more a space opera with military elements and space battles. Still fun, and very much worth the read, but know what you're getting yourself into
