- Silver QueenRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I am a big fan of the fantasy genre and from my experience, this is a great story with tremendous potential. There are so many ways the author can spin this - the possibilities are endless. The premise may seem common, it is about the Undying (aka zombies) after all, but his take on it is very logical and unique - I'm not spoiling anything though! A definite 4/5 on this front just because of it's amazing potential to blossom into something grand and unique. It is not a solid 5/5 because the direction the story takes could also make or break it, and I want to see where the author goes with it.
The author has a great grasp of the language and knows how to use it to his advantage. His writing style is best described as mysterious, with the pace ebbing and flowing as events unfold - it keeps our curiosity alive while still being plot relevant. I am really enjoying the worldbuilding, it never gets boring since the author packages it in morsels rather than writing paragraphs of exposition - I'm looking at you, Christopher Paolini! But honestly, nothing takes the joy out of reading than dry and drab writing. Thankfully, that won't be a problem here! So definitely a 5/5 for grammar and style.
Character introductions are solid and very well done. I love the two MCs - an older lady and her younger partner in crime are truly a rare combo in fantasy settings. I would love to see where the author goes with the duo. Another huge plus are how well emotions are fleshed out - you can feel what the POV character feels as you read along, especially in Chapter 2. A lot of budding authors have a difficult time making emotions seem authentic, but not this one. It adds an extra layer of realism to his characters, making them more relatable. Honestly, the only reason I gave a 4/5 in character score is because I want to see different sides of the MCs as the story progresses. It is still relatively new after all, and we've only caught a glimpse of them. There's room for so much more.

Honestly, going into this, I had no idea I'd enjoy it as much as I did, and now I can safely say that I'm hooked!
Read on till at least Chapter 2 and I'm pretty damn sure you'll love it too.
Style
I personally love the prose. The descriptive imagery is vivid without being overbearing/clunky - I could visualize everything clearly in my mind as I read it. The writing flows very well and it had my attention from start to finish.
Story
The story/plot is interesting and unique - I could definitely see this having some serious movie/anime potential.
Also, strong female protags FOR THE WINNN!!!

Grammar
No grammatical errors/typos - if you like a well-edited piece of work that shows that the author put in serious effort, you'll appreciate this one.
Characters
The characters are well fleshed-out and interesting. Took me a while to get used to the weird names but hey, it's a totally different world so what can you expect?
I feel like the introduction of the main characters so far has been really solid, and I am very eager to learn more about each one of them so I can pick a favorite.
PS: the Jiriga dude has some major broody sexy side-character vibe going for him - I hope he's hot so I can simp (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
