To The Stars...

Alex Orz was a normal sort of guy.  It was just that abnormal things kept happening to him.

Meandering through life and all the strange events with an air of unflappability, Alex maintained a generally easygoing attitude no matter what popped up.

The strange homeless man hit by Alex’s ex-girlfriend's car?  Only an elven prince on a quest for his bride-to-be.  Eerie cries coming from the stormwater drain?  Merely a family of alligators trying to raise their kids who just want to go and play in the park with the human kids.  A border dispute up north between wendigo and sasquatch tribes?  Just another chat in the woods.  As for the cute blonde who was sent to assassinate him, well, the poor girl just had the worst of luck.

This time though he might be in serious trouble that could end with his death.  Abducted from Earth by a space-exploiting gigacorporation and put to work on an impossibly large space-train, Alex has been given the task of fixing, well,everything.  But this train is falling apart and theAd Astracorporation as a whole has been eerily silent to its employees and shareholders both.

Can Alex save the day, save his life, save the goblin horde, and get back home in one piece?

This event is different.  The usual levels of oddness?  Always.   Dangerous?  Well, there’s a reason all ofAd Astra’s temporary level employees are abducted.It’s less paperwork when they die horribly.

NOTE: This started as a Writeathon entry for November 2023, during which Ihopedto release a chapter every two days.  It didn't quite work out that way, but I succeeded in the word goal at least.  Chapters at this point will be AS SOON AS I CAN - life has been getting in the way.  Chapter length is variable based on how it feels as I type, but shouldveryrarely drop below 4000 words.  Slow progression LitRPG.  Let me know if any tags need to be added or removed.
