Description
It was just an ordinary sunny day at the beach… until it wasn’t. Unbeknownst to me everything was about to change and I would never see anyone or anywhere I had known ever again. The sun had been bright, the day warm, the wind pleasant and the water cool...
Until I fell through, leaving it all behind.
Now I'm trapped in a stone cell by some psychotic wizard and his blue henchman and I have no idea what's going to happen to me.
All I can do is wait. Time will tell.

- solomonthewiseRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0I absolutely love this story. Aside from that absolutely massive info dump of course(honestly I just skipped it) it's a slow burn slice of life where the character even after 200 years has yet to become even moderately strong(though he eventually might). It's well written with Plenty of great emotional moments. hope the author keeps up the good work.
- Spacial_SRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Perfectly tragic and sad story without being too overbearing. Author isn't afraid to let time pass and actually welcomes it. Main character actually works hard to get what he wants AND plans ahead. The main character doesn't know much about this world, it's rules or it's customs, but isn't stupid and actually tries to learn about the world. Great worldbuilding and good explanation of the magic but still not too overwhelming. Realistic enough, with how the people act and how a class system actually works, unlike many other stories, but still clearly a fantasy world. 5/5 I love this story.
- The Villain to your HeroRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The reason I even started this story was because I've always have this desire for stories where the mc is old or grows old as he gains skills and I can definitely say that this story fulfilles every part of that craving.
The story starts off by our mc and a bunch of other humans being abducted into a realm of magic by a wizard who is doing experiments of some kind on them. From the moment the mc was contained with the rest of the people and interacts with the "guard", I knew this was gonna be a great story.
The interactions between the the people in this part and in the rest of the story is really well written. The dialogue between characters and our mc's inner dialogue seem quite realistic, which i always enjoy in a story.
I can’t say much about the grammar since I didnt notice any mistakes but I never really pay attention to the grammar anyway unless its really bad, so I can confirm that at the very least the grammar in this story is good enough that it didnt disturb my immersion while reading.
The "exposition" or info dump that happens in the story didn't even bother me because i quite like to read about lore and background of worlds plus it was real interesting and well done.
I am eagerly waiting for new chapters to be released. Lets hope the story continues with this level of quality. - duccio10Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0The story is Great.
I actually enjoied the 9 infodump chapters as 3 are on the working of mana so they explain clearly the normal progression of streanght and the rest are mostly an introduction to the "final bosses" of the story and people that have changed the world.
The infodumps and the story in general show that the writer put a lot of work in the worlbuilding and it's not something thought on the fly.
Sorry for the bad english but it's not my first language - geogio13Royal Road★★★★★ 5.0I adore this story as it gives weight to all the actions of the character, and each victory is felt earned. A unique world with extensive lore helps flesh out a storyline that continues to build on itself in logical and reasonable ways. I was looking for a story that goes beyond the usual bounds of western fantasy and the current trend of LitRPG and this more than delivers on the promise. Go ahead and read it, I am almost certain you'll enjoy it. But after all, the only way to know for sure is to take the time for it.
- JasonargileRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Very well written. Engaging characters emotion development realistic actions and decisions made by the MC. Slow pacing but page turning non the less. A hopless man in a hopless situation living on regardless of the many obstacles he faces. Nether a murder hobo nor a killing is wrong let's just let let the bad guy go.
- kingphantom313Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5This is it my man, it starts a little bit slow and a unfocused in. The first few chapters, and then it gets better wayyy better. The style is intriguing and the characters and dynamic and adapting. You feel what they feel and you root form them and the grammar is very good. All in all it's worth a read. You won't regret it . It better that 99.99% of the other story's in Royal road
- RennyRoyal Road★★★ 3.0This avoids many of the pitfalls of first novels. There is a bit of info dumping and some things that make maintaining suspension of disbelief difficult, but the MC doesn't have everything handed to them and while they have to deal with some shitty situations it's not self pitying.
- Van_DRoyal Road★★★ 3.0I really liked the beginning of this novel like alot but got zamn 😍 theres literally 9 chapters of pure expoistion IN A ROW with chapter titles of literally history (1/3) and politics (1/2) it completely breaks the flow of the novel and then proceedes to defecate any natural world building it could have done naturally and more fluidly. There's a saying the author needs to know that's used especially in the movie world, show don't tell. Well it may be confusing to translate that too writing think of it as more of the character experiences, rather then having the protagnist read books then regurgitates the entire history, politics, geographical, and even magical system of the world in 9 slow chapters. I will be skipping these. I read through all the mana chapters and the first second I realized that it's gonna be every section of the world my heart broke. Please just read any highly praised fantasy novel in the last decade and you'll realize that readers find more enjoyment when it's delivered to them naturally and almost like solving a mystery and is discovered by character interaction, events and plotlines. Not by making them sit down and read the transcript of a lecture.
- Turtle WarsRoyal Road★★★ 2.5"Time will tell" is like some of the art films that came out of the USSR. It is not like I dislike or I have dropped the story. The story doesnt go anywhere even after all these chapters. It is seemingly a stream of thought novel with no clear plan at the author's end.
I am also quite surprised how this story is remaining in the rising stars section for this long. Never realized that the readers in RR were so patient.
