Description
John Thomson is a regular college student, the kind of average person you cross on the street every day.
Or at least that’s what most people assume, because he’s far from what’s considered “normal”.
After all, a normal person isn’t regularly dragged into life-threatening tribulations involving fantastic creatures, otherworldly beings and people with logic-defying superpowers. Not to mention that he seems to have a knack for sticking his nose into the nefarious plans of secret societies and ancient cults.
But John’s life wasn’t always such a mess: Everything began when he accidentally invented a way to rewind time…
Weekly Schedule: At least a ~3.5k words chapter every Wednesday and Sunday.

- AzureflameRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0The azure flame considers this novel worthy to be added to its collection of treasures, It enjoys the magic, timetravel, and many mysteries.
It thinks that perhaps you might like it too, perhaps you might decide it's worthy of your horde of treasures.
The azure flame crackles in enjoyment when it reads the latest chapter, it hopes you will find enjoyment as well. - IdioticShadowRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Due to the story premise, there actually is a reason why a talentless, manaless and overall average young man can "survive" and adopt to his terrible situation, and not the usual he gets through everything because he is the protagonist.
And it seems there is more to his ability than at first apparent, and a little bit of mystery is always a plus.
At the very least, you should read the first three chapters before forming your opinion. - ManeReaderRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Style: Its written from first person and I'm not often a fan of that, but the author makes it work well enough. The sentences and paragraphs flows nicely, but at times they feel like theres a bit too much fluff. Its not verbosity for the sake of verbosity, but I skipped a few sentences here and there. Its probably just a personal thing but I often interally say "Yeah I get it, now get to the good stuff".
Story: It started off feeling somewhat meh. I felt palpable Steins:Gate/Re:Zero influences. I'm happy to say the story developes in a way that is far fresher than the first few chapters imply. I'll leave this short to avoid spoilers, but this is the novels selling point.
Grammar: I'm the last one to talk about this, but some mistakes are noticable so I have to take a star off.
Charcater: Honestly. I don't really like any of the characters. Thats not to say they're badly written, they're just not my cup of ravioli. Our MC, John, doesn't make me feel anything. This is somewhat of a serious detriment being that its writtern in first person, but what he does and why he does it/them is intersting enough to forgive. There are a few other charcters that are given notable screen time, but they don't leave much of an impact either. As I said previously, you'd defintely read this for the story not the characters.
Overall: I'd say check it out. Its pretty good. Get to Chapter 6 before you drop it. - Jester13Royal Road★★★★★ 4.5Amazing story idea, the only complaint I have is similar to other’s in that the POV switches can be quite jarring and confusing sometimes since there’s no indicator or pause. Otherwise, the story idea is amazing, grammar and writing style is good and makes the story flow well (besides the POV changes). The character development so far is slightly lacking, but part of that is due to the lack of chapters written so far I’m sure.
Final views—definitely give this one at least a quick trial run, it’s well worth it. - M. R. AzeRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5Overall, the story is something you should give a go. Just suffer through the slow start, you will not regret it. I should mention that because of this I am giving it an overall 4.5 stars.
- ArcanePunksterRoyal Road★★★★ 4.0REVIEW AS OF CHAPTER 3
At first I thought this was your typically time travel story with maybe a few unique twists on existing tropes, but pleasantly I was surprised.
I'd have to the style of the story is probably the weakest part, it's simple but that's not the problem. Occasionally it jumps around unexpectedly to different scenes, or the flow can sometimes be off making for some awkward progression through the story.
Although the story at first seems like your typically time travel (I've noticed many mentioning Steins Gate in their reviews, but I haven't seen the anime yet) it soon changes to a out of the blue, supernatural underworld with elves, werewolves and fish people. It will be interesting to see how the author intends to connect the two genres in future chapters. Other than that I can't really comment much more on the story, unless I speculate.
The grammar is rather solid albeit the typically missing words, spelling and grammar mistakes that you find in most stories. It's not bad enough to ruin the flow of the story.
The MC (sorry can't remember his name) is likable he's to the point, and he plans ahead, the latter is sort of needed in order to use his ability effectively. Riley is just your typically close friend to MC at the start, but as soon as you reach chapter three, you do question how the two will approach and interact throughout the preceding chapters. As for Jason there isn't enough to go by at this point to comment on him.
So far the story is an enjoyable read, albeit a few common mishaps. But I definitely recommend after reading the first few chapters, to check it out especially if you're drained out on the time travel genre and you're looking for something a little different.
As for me I'll most likely be coming back to read more! - tzenethRoyal Road★★★ 3.0My scoring of 3 stars is my attempt at a balance. I give the first arc up to and including the fight with the big bad, 4.5 stars. There might be some problems for some people but the story worked for me with likable characters and understandable perspectives. It might not work for everyone but it was heavily enjoyable for me.
My problem with the story is everything after that when the story goes from plucky thriller/adventure story to kingdom builder story. I can’t tell when it first started but I do know I’ve stopped reading somewhere around chapter 82. Before that I started slowing down and wanting to read other things in the 70’s set of chapters. I realize now that the reason I stopped caring is that there’s no one for me to care about. There are no good guys, there is no one to truly root for.
Spoiler: Spoiler
Our protagonist goes from a plucky hero with mental issues to leading a cult where he executed genocide because of convenience and expediency. The two werewolf brothers become so distanced from any of the plot with Riley becoming a mystery as to his thoughts while also being ineffective at doing anything. Steve wasn’t a character I really cared about at all and we don’t get enough information to know anything about his rebellion but based on the one battle where they lost 2/3 of their attacking forces they seem to fall into the category of naive idealists or they’ll end up as terrorists. That’s just an assumption though as I don’t have enough story with them to care. The final faction involved is the newly created Empire which is led by a person who has no real interesting characteristics and comes across as an almost comical villain with his secret machinations and delusion of creating a grand, long lasting empire (to probably an intentional degree, almost no different from our protagonist other than coming from within the system and wanting to oppress versus our protagonist’s “ideal”).
With no one to root for, why should I care? The main perspective is s - MataminusRoyal Road★★★ 2.5Okay i have read this until chap 80.
At first i thought after reading the sinopsis that the mc will be doin doing something good n great to the world.
But after the fight with the beelzebub, he outright denying others feeling, robbing some poor backward civilization.
Genocide other faction that just got in the way coa they didnt know better. A cult that brainwashing people.
The mc edgiest mc ive ever read. Im sorry fory bad review n lamguage
Im not that good in english.

Thank you - catalinnrRoyal Road★★★ 2.5Have you ever asked yourself how would it be if you could rewind time with a phone app, but the only limit is that you can only go back 24 hours?
Yes? then come and read about the most everyday life John that somehow created this app unintentionally, but never uses it..outside of being forced by the author for some cool action plot or moneymaking. Forget about any other possible use you could think of, when you could simply do nothing and accept everything as if you never had the app.

Time Travel, but every rewind makes you dumber, The Story. - tyes77Royal Road★★★ 2.5Mc is kinda of an idiot not using his time powers to it's fullest potential and that's why it can't go more than a 2.5 for me. I recommend like another has said to read MoL to use time travel efficiently because otherwise the world is kinda weird. It's not even real since he can buy guns in a flash without a need to wait. Seriously little things like that makes this novel seem lazy since the author doesn't put in the time to think some details over.
