Description

With the advent of the Fimbulvetr, mechanical monsters known as the Jotun arrived. Three centuries later, earth is now a frozen wasteland of snow and ice. The only place safe is Yggdrasil, a giant artificial tree that serves as humanity's last remaining settlement. Fighting back against the Jotun are the Valkyrie; warriors who call upon the powers of mythological heroes, protecting and serving Yggdrasil. After a no-good very bad prank that went horribly wrong, a young street boy discovers that he too has the power to become a Valkyrie. Seeking revenge on those who wronged him, he joins the Valkyrie training school Valhalla as a new recruit. There's just one problem: all the other Valkyries are girls.Volume 1 now complete![This story is on Indefinite Hiatus and mostly left up for history's sake. Parts of it were heavily helped by a friend and may not be indicative of other works]

What stands out the most to me about Till Ragnarok Comes is the tone. The setting is somewhat dark, but the story sticks to a slightly campy light-novel-esque style that breathes levity into it. There is a seriousness to scenes that need to be such, while not drowning the story in the sort of apathetic tone too common to darker settings. The characters play off each other in humorous ways that don't deny the gravity of the situations they're in, but lightens the mood, making for an overall very fun reading experience.
The cast is quite solid, with distinct voices and personalities that may fall within classic tropes but aren't defined by them. There's not much that can be said about character development this early on, but the development in character relationships is well written and clear to follow. Also, Ash is Best Girl.
While perhaps the Post-Apocalyptic Battle Action Harem Highschool setting is not particularly unique, the worldbuilding is reasonably thorough and doesn't leave much to be desired. The Einherjar and Jotun being based off of mythology may be a very common trope, but story makes their presence epic enough to be enjoyable.
Overall, Till Ragnarok Comes is a solid read for anybody who enjoys the light-novel style of writing, and should be considered by anybody who wants to dip their toes within the genre.

I'm part of a discord Daze releases the parts on before they set up their royal road, and I can't wait to reread chapters 2 through 6 that were posted there. The writing is good and there are no grammer issues either in chapter 1 or what I remember of the later chapters.

A nice genderbend story with a engaging plot and of course some mecha which is alway nice to see instead of the regular fantasy
if that sounds good to you then you will likely love this story
Main character is nice with his ice abilitys and flirty quips when hes a girl makes me laugh
Only problem is it only updated once a week hope for more soon :)
So give it a go :D
