As of this date, this story does not have the proper content warning tag: Disturbing/Sensitive Content
This story is about Rei who has guilt over the death of Mirai and it opens with her being in a dangerous state of mind and is clearly suicidal. She is also delusional and unreliable given the narration. This story is about how she deals with the loss and the prose is so distant, awkward and unnatural that her perspective itself shows her compromised state.
To this effect it is written well. I did not look at any of the art that was linked, but I am reviewing the story not the story and its artwork. That being said, the choice to make the POV distant, cold and unreliable to the point of confusion negatively impact the story about its style. As readers we cannot trust the words. The reality of the situation is hidden. That poses a problem and the portrayal never directly addresses the situation with enough context to overcome the POV issues.
