Johannes Ithunn, the man responsible for the discovery, became the world's first trillionaire after only five years. Two hundred years later, his wealth is measured not in currency or gold, but in governments controlled and humans immortalised.

A new form of capital punishment was introduced to feed the growing industry. Convicts who would have been put to death two centuries ago, must now harvest the immortality from the still-living bodies of the damned, or join them.

Those Who Outlive the Sunis a near-future dystopia about a small of group of these convicts suffering, surviving and solving their way through massive floating cities, swathes of nightmarish creatures, and the rigors of an oppressive technocracy, their end goal being a cure to everlasting suffering.
