Travelling down the stairway,

The light shining upon my back slowly dimmed with every step.

The darkness welcomed me,

Encouraging my feet to continue walking.

As the light disappeared,

I embraced the darkness before me,

Surrounding me,

Comforting me.

The light fought for my return,

But the darkness was always.
