Description
What if Humanity wasn't the apex predator among the stars?
What if those true apex predators saw mankind and came to the same conclusion:Holy cow they're all adorable.
TheThey are Smolseries takes place in the near future after adisasterousfirst contact and the subesquent accidental invasion of Earth. Humanity is being uplifted for many reasons; they provide new culture and art on the galactic scene, sure. They can also look at scientific and social problems in a new light - absolutely. Mainly though, it's just to get them to do something productive with their lives andstop setting everything on fire-
Humans, for their part, are oscillating between abject fear at theothernessof their new neighbors and the frustration that they keep placing things on the top shelf.

- deathbricksRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0One of the most entertaining novels i've read in a while, i don't normally laugh out loud reading, maybe a amused huff or a single "heh" but this, this got a full giggle out of me.
It somewhat reminds me of first contact, going from comedic human stuff to serious space stuff really fast while not feeling forced about it. - EvrinRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0Great storytelling.
Fun view on how humans look to everyone else in the universe.
Like the dumb little brother of the universe that still wets his bed at night but everyone pretends not to notice.
The only real shame is how few chapters there are. - JoaryRoyal Road★★★★★ 5.0this is one of the best serials to come out of r/hfy this past year. its cute, memes, hilarious, original, and most importantly, there are big dogs that call humans the equivalent of hugs pillows
- FlavorTownRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5For the first half of the 70ish chapters so far this is the absolute greatest thing I've ever read, I was both trapped by the story and had to Bing read for hours and was constantly dying of laughter. After that everything gets a bit confusing and not as funny, it kinda lost the 'vibe'.
stop reading after the invasion of earth to have a perfect image of this story. - Gamerkitt3nzRoyal Road★★★★★ 4.5I love this read. It's really funny and chill, with good comedy throughout (as well as amazing puns /s). All in all a great read and very enjoyable, takes a second to figure out the flow and start to enjoy but once you do, you won't be able to not binge read it in days.
- Thor AegirRoyal Road★★★★ 3.5When humanity make first contact with three over-enthusiastic, over-protectuve, cuddle loving, instinct driven, burocratic, clumsy & giant alien races.... There will be CHAOS !
And many laughs follow.
If only the chaos did not infect the story timing....
The author created a very good and hilarious universe. This story would make a great movie. The only problem is the lack of order in the chapters. The story jump randomly from one timeline and viewpoint to another.
Otherwise this is great .... Borderline genius. - to doRoyal Road★★★ 3.0This story is crack.
It's interesting worldbuilding, and has some good humour, but is nowhere near the level of seriousness some other reviews seem to indicate. Misunderstandings and hijinks are abundant and everything is a setup for a joke.
Where it falls flat for me is that that's all that it is. The author is writing jokes and jumps around to different characters to be able to make those jokes and characters are then dropped once those jokes become stale.
Enjoyed reading it but not really any sort of plot and seems to be devolving even further into being just incomprehensibly crackish.
Good for a laugh. - fanvaronRoyal Road★★★ 3.0The premise is quite nice and overall it's an interesting read, but more so in concept than in practice, the fact, that there is a total unexplained disconnect in the story is even worse.
We start with one set of characters, a matching story and its progressions just to suddenly go into a flashback that just keeps going and going until its the new story?
Like I said the concept is interesting and there are a few nice scenes but the story is extremely mediocre. Most likely since there is no structure to it, its just a little bit of this and a little bit of that. - Digishade11Royal Road★★★ 2.5Well the title says most of it for me but I’ll elaborate.
for most of the first half it was mostly just sh¡t post stuff which is fine on it’s own and gave me a few laughs but I noticed around the pandemic section of the story that it was changing a bit it became mostly serious with a few jokes here and there which I enjoyed but then it tried to stay with $hitposting by inserting warhammer and meme references but for me those just broke my immersion. A similar thing happened with the space pirate section but instead of references the humans that were supposed to be professional were made to have no common sense. And now the food service section. Honestly there’s not all that much for me to say really he tried to swerve it back into what it was at the start and it’s just kinda disappointing for me because I’ve seen what he can do when not trying to goof around to much and now I can’t go back. - EmbersInAshesRoyal Road★★ 2.0I guess I enjoyed some of it for a while. There were some novel ideas of how humans interacted with a galactic civilization. But at some point I came across a chapter where the author references t-posing multiple times in the first few paragraphs and realized that if they didn't give a shit, neither did I.
It's worth some laughs, here and there, if you were around for the early/mid 2010's.
