These Games of Ours (Old)

Description

Every few decades, The Game occurs. Rewards are abundant, power is generously given, and a future is possible to all, from the lowly urchin to the Emperor.

That is, at least, what the denizens of this world believe it to be as they prepare from one calamity to the other, fostering power and knowledge. Creating guilds and countries; all for the purpose of winning.

Nilbog, battered and beat, wants nothing of it.

Kara craves for it all.

In the process of a re-write. I advise against reading any of this yet.

The plot is okay and overall the story is entertaining, only real confusing part about the litrpg system is if you pay attention to the authors notes. It seems that the story was constantly being edited, so it's best to just ignore most of what's written there about the system.
cant wait to read a second book, and good luck getting published.

TLDR: Apocalypse Genre with well-defined characters that make the story interesting. Oh and good Grammar.
The Apocalapyse Genre spinned in a different twist. That's what I felt when I read this story and I must say, it's been going well so far. Most stories have the 'normal world turned inside out', but this 'catastrophe', that invloves a lot of death, betrayal and utter chaos, seems to have been expected by the denizens.
The premise is simpe in design, Population Control and what not done through these periodic events, where the worthy have a chance at reaching the top of the food-chain.The ambitious crave for fame while those experienced with suffering just want to be left alone. The Author has done well in letting the readers know what defines his characters, or atleast those that matter.
Personally, I don't like the female lead, Kara? , she just rubs me the wrong way and I give you kudos for that. She wants power, difficult as it may be with her limitations, and I felt she doesn't have any sort of limits inorder to achieve that. On the other hand, our Male Lead has a mysterious past. He seemed like a weak, homeless kid in the beginning but proves us false with his actions just before the start of  the event. His inner musings are quite interesting to read.
The world is supposedly a shitty place and it just became even more so with the event. Hopefully, more details will come forth, in case I missed anything. I really hope to see more interesting characters and their interactions. I've already become so in that department, just with what little has happened so far.
The grammar is one of the reasons why I even continued with this. Good grammar makes you want to read more and this one doesn't have any noticeable flaws, unless I've missed any. I even saw one or two words that I had never seen before.
Well hope this story doesn't lose it's interesting aspects. The story is too short  so I can't exactly point out it's flaws but will update when I feel li

The previous version of this story was a little difficult to understand, and this version has greatly improved the ability to comprehend what the hell is going on. Good story so far, but I don't quite get who tha main character is, there are a LOT of perspective changes. Maybe you could specify who the MC is, or cut down on the amount of people? Anyway, good book, and I hope to see more
