There Once Was a Guardian Named Jacob

I never knew how the two worlds were connected, let alone why. Maybe once I had an idea but at this point, I have no idea. What I do know is what happens when two worlds are connected. I am Jacob, a Gate Guardian, defender of The Bridge between worlds. The Bridge is made up of what is called The Nothingness. I am one of the few people who can infuse The Nothingness into themselves and exist on The Bridge. I am the last one left, my vigil has been so long I no longer remember the world I once came from. I might not know it yet, but my time on The Bridge is coming to an end. For me, it will be a new beginning in a world that has forgotten who the Gate Guardians even were. That's OK, I don't remember either! I just hope I remember enough to not look like a complete idiot! With how amazing I know I am, it shouldn't be an issue.
